You've been gone for over twenty years, Emmeline. I don't know you anymore. None of us do. You can't come back and demand to take your rightful place in our circle of friends when you haven't been a friend to any of us in decades, and you're not going to be our first Floo call when something happens. I'm sorry, more so than you know, but that's not how this works anymore.

You're right. I didn't realize that was what I was doing in the heat of worry and frustration but you're correct. I'm a stranger to you and though we've both tried to mend that very burnt bridge in fits and starts, it's clear its too damaged. You have a great deal to manage and worry about, and I don't think either of us wants to put the proper energy it would take.

I know you're sorry but it doesn't hold weight against reality. Thank you for having always been honest with me even when I didn't to hear it. ~~I will always love you.~~

I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been so harsh. It isn't the same and never will be, but that doesn't mean it still can't be good once we've all readjusted. I We still love you. That hasn't changed. And now we have Emma to love, too.

It will take time, that's all. We've been used to you not being here, and now you are. We won't be able to switch back overnight, but I'm sure we're all willing to try as long as you're willing to accept that we've all created lives without you for the past twenty years, and that isn't easy to shake.

	No, suppose not. I shouldn't have expected that aspects wouldn't have changed. I know we've all built lives in the past twenty years. I just stop thinking in the thick of emotion. I've grown to hate surprises and that was a big one. (Reply to this) (Parent)
