Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
I can't seem to get my head around what Oliver suggested. The idea of me training to become a teacher. Its  - well, its preposterous, isn't it?  Teachers have always seemed so..worldly and frankly, none of them were ever under the age of sixty.

I'm signed up to be an apprentice wardsmith, and everything I've learned so far has been useful but I have to wonder if I'm content doing this because I get to practice charms and arithmancy. Would I be happier if I looked into it? It seems so..permanent.

A letter wouldn't  hurt, would it?

Its five sleeps until Christmas! Now is the time to try and figure out what I would like to find under the tree.

Problem is  except for my family I don't know what I'd like to find. Suggestions?

You're terribly literal, and a good friend.

I object to pocket size dogs on principle - anything thats small enough to fit into a handbag and be dressed? Its just not right.

And as for taking one on tour, it could work. There'd be plenty of room if certain members gave up their hair products.

It's been suggested.

Pocket-sized is likewise offensive. Mid-size is the way to go...nothing smaller than a Jack Russell, nothing larger than a retriever.

That's probably true. I hope you're not insinuating that I use too much hair product. You've seen my hair, I think it was fairly obvious that I don't care much.

Exatly!

Our neighbours in Cornwall had a Dalmation. He was terribly exuberant and noisy.

Dogs are supposed to take after their owners you know.

I'd never insinuate you use too much hair product, but I know how much makeup goes into getting the 'nataraul' look and don't trust it. Even artfully tousled hair like yours must take some form of effort.

Dalmatians aren't too big. But I suppose if I get the bull terrier (and I think I am), it would mean I'm rowdy, bouncy, and need a lot of exercise and mental stimulation. According to what I've read.

Yeah, that's true usually. Although for me the effort comes in just forgetting to cut it for a while.

You struck me as exceptionally rowdy when I met you.

Maybe somebody should get you a rememberall for Christmas. Or you could just shave all the hair off ; then you'd have longer for it to grow 'too' long.

Yes, most people are put off by by random outbursts of shouting and my tendency to jump up and dance on tables.

It's not so much forgetting-forgetting as "forgetting" in that I don't care enough to do it promptly. And I did that, once, too, right after I graduated. It was unwise.

I've never seen anyone perform the Macarena with quite so much enthusiasm.

Ah the difference between forgetting to go shopping or "forgetting" to leave half a pizza for a friend to eat.

Really? I can't quite imagine you with less hair. Or indeed no hair.
I've always wondered though, is the hair fuzzy like stubble or fluffy?

My skills are quite formidable.

It's sort of...in between, I guess? Softer than stubble but not...fluffy, really. Wait, what?

I've never seen splits like that outside of gymnastics and icy alleyways.

You're talking about your hair! You're talking! Succsess

Uhuh. Stubbly but fluffy hair? Sounds like a bull terrier.

Actually, that might be an accurate description. Except not black and white.

Black and white hair might make you look too much like a badger.

Any preferences as to where you'd like to go?

Not really. Anywhere is fine. Since I'm not high maintenance, you see.

Split a pizza with you? Giant, thin, crispy, pineapples, chilli and ham? With a side of pickled eggs?

Pizza, yes. Those toppings. Sound a bit horrifying. Well, the side-eggs more so.

I guess I'll be ordering two pizzas then. See, high maintanance.

Pickled eggs are delicious though, but maybe they're more suited for fish n chips.

Just sometimes, though.

How's the new living arrangement?
