Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
I can't seem to get my head around what Oliver suggested. The idea of me training to become a teacher. Its  - well, its preposterous, isn't it?  Teachers have always seemed so..worldly and frankly, none of them were ever under the age of sixty.

I'm signed up to be an apprentice wardsmith, and everything I've learned so far has been useful but I have to wonder if I'm content doing this because I get to practice charms and arithmancy. Would I be happier if I looked into it? It seems so..permanent.

A letter wouldn't  hurt, would it?

Its five sleeps until Christmas! Now is the time to try and figure out what I would like to find under the tree.

Problem is  except for my family I don't know what I'd like to find. Suggestions?

Well, I do have some ideas, but I'm sure you can come up with something interesting.

Unless there's something going on with my mate up there, because then all of my suggestions are completely platonic.

I don't understand why they wouldn't be completly platonic in the first instance. You don't know me. I'm a 76 year old witch with a purple rinse and orthopedic soled shoes.

Private to Heath

Define 'going on' with Orsino - I presume you mean Orsino. We're acquaintances who fight over Christmas cds, and greasy spoons. I'm working on becoming friends with him.

I'm a rockstar? If that happened, I could leave. Besides, Thrusty doesn't have any friends who wear orthopedic shoes. And most of those old biddies wouldn't have tried to get me sick the other night.

Private to Penny

Hrm.

You're a rockstar? Quick, let me throw my knickers at you.

Thrusty??! You call him Thrusty?

Can't. Stop. Laughing.

Private to Heath

Hrmmm?

Great, I'll add them to the collection. What colour are they? I like to keep things sorted.

I do. I don't know that anyone else does, and I'm pretty sure he hates it. Which might be why I keep doing it, but who could tell?

Private to Penny

Mmhmm.

By colour, size or type?

Somehow I can't imagine him as a Thru There is no possible way for me to retort to that without embarassing someone. Possibly myself. Which I try hard not to do.

Private to Heath

Ahhhh.

....

Well, I definatly felt the earth move.

Colour first, then type. Size doesn't really matter that much, though.

Private to Penny

Well, I do try to make people defiant.

Oh thats good. So many people don't appreciate proper bloomers these days. In that case, they're purple with yellow and black splodges, and I buy them from the same maker as Madame Maxime.

Private to Heath

Definitely! I meant definitely as you well fine know! Do you know what its like for a 'Claw to be corrected on spelling?

Defiant? You don't seem to be succeeding.

Brilliant. Owl them over. And I have no idea who Madame Maxime is?

Private to Penny
Drop your quill? Spill some ink?

I think I'm doing better than you give me credit for.

Well, since you're asking to know what my knickers look like....

You can go to a shop and buy them.

Madam Maxime? She's very similar to a female version of Hagrid. There were pictures of her in the Prophet when she was at the Triwizard Tournament.

Private to Heath

Oh no. I simply scored out something thats not for your eyes.

No. I'm not feeling very defiant, or indeed much of anything.

Except hungry.

Hagrid's a nice enough bloke. Though if you're that large, it gives a new meaning to 'climbing' that I hadn't really thought of.

Are you asking me to buy knickers for you? I think I at least deserve a name, then.

Private to Penny
Well, I pride myself in making women hungry, too.

I prefer the term 'generous'.

Oh I'm perfectly capable of buying my own knickers thankyou. In fact I have a drawer full of them.

And my name is Penny.

Private to Heath

Out of curiosity, do women actually fall for your lines?

Aye. Figured that out from the little bit of magic that comes along with these journals. So no one else can pick up yours and see all the private shite, you know? At least that's how I guess they work.

Got a last name?

Private to Penny

Sadly enough, all the bloody time. Doesn't say much for your gender as a whole.

Do you fancy me, too? And here I thought all these years of teasing was just friendly regard...
