Merlin help me, I'm entirely too old to get flustered by a charming and thoughtful gift through the post but I swear thats just what happened this morning.

On an entirely professional note, I submitted my latest theorem to the magazine so its a case of crossing my fingers and hoping its of a high enough calibre to be printed. I don't want to lose my edge simply because I focus on Charms for eight hours a day. And its a week until the Halloween Feast in the Great Hall - my first as a fully fledged Professor ; I can hardly wait!
