The reason is that our artistic goals are diverging - we've not been seeing eye to eye musically for awhile now. We're technically set to start work on the next record, but I find myself unable to write material that would fit in with the vision they're heading towards. I do, however, have an album's worth of material that I'm very happy with and think is some of the best work I've done in years. But I know that they won't want to record it.
I've not spoken to them yet, but will be sitting down with Myron Wagtail and Donaghan Tremlett soon to discuss it. The break - temporary or permanent, depending on their reactions - will be made publicly known by the end of August.
I'm not one hundred percent certain, but I have every belief that it has that potential. This material is different than anything I've done with the Sisters, so it wouldn't be directly competing.
