I was there.

It wasn't a call I expected to receive, to go to these houses in the middle of the night to see the Dark Mark in the sky. To have to see the dismembered bodies of innocent children... it shakes you to your soul.

It's my job, but coming up with an 'excuse' for such a thing is nearly impossible. I hated to use the excuse of a serial killer. It's too open ended, it leaves too much room for suspicion, and having to work with the Muggle Police is always difficult in my opinion. I wish we could've given them a more closed reason, if only because I wanted to convince myself that something like this could never happen again.

I've not left the house in a few days. I can't get that image out of my head. This little baby. Merlin, it makes me sick.
