Charlie pressed his back hard into the tree, and fought to control his breathing. Coming in great, ragged gasps, it sounded loud as the roar of a dragon in his straining ears. He closed his eyes. Two great breaths through the mouth, then, quietly, quietly, breathe through his nose, and listen. His breathing controlled, he bumped his head angrily against the rough bark as the pounding of his heart now took over his senses. Control. He wiped the back of his gloved hand over his mouth, leaving a smudge of dirt. His heart slowed, and he focused on his surroundings again.

The forest was bright with moonlight among the leafless trees. The stand of firs to his left was darker than a miser's heart, but where Charlie stood, trying to meld his body with a tree, it was almost light enough to see color.

This was not what he had anticipated when he came to visit. Not this hiding in the forest, trying to avoid a couple of werewolves the night before the full moon. Well, one werewolf, and one.... What was Bill, exactly? Charlie knew his brother didn't transform, couldn't infect anyone, but he also knew, from their talks late into the night, that Bill had a lot of the wolf in him. He knew that Bill spent a couple of days both sides of the full moon with Remus. He knew that Bill could be aggressive and confrontational on the night of the moon. Bill avoided Fleur those several days, and his twin brothers had sustained a bruise or two watching Bill those first few moons. Until he'd started spending them with Remus, that is. But Charlie wasn't stupid, and he spent enough time around beasts and randy dragon keepers to have a pretty good idea. When he had arrived for a visit the day before the full moon, and asked if he could spend the night with Remus and Bill, Bill had been adamantly opposed. Remus had agreed with Bill, but while his voice said no, his eyes had roamed Charlie's body with interest. So Charlie had pushed.

"You really up for this, Charlie?" Remus had circled him slowly.

"I can handle myself."

"No." Bill paced the room, unable to sit still. "Charlie, you have no idea."

"Oh, I think I have some idea, big brother." Charlie grinned, not taking his attention off Remus for a second.

"Do you want to be hunted, Charlie?" Remus' voice was soft. "Do you like the idea of being stalked through the moonlight by a couple of wolves?"

"Remus, no. You said this wasn't about... about...." Bill choked on the words.

"About sex?" Remus was still circling Charlie. "It's not. Not between you and me, but Charlie isn't a werewolf."

"But I'm... you're... we're not...."

"No. But Charlie is. Right, Charlie?"

"As an Irish galleon." Charlie grinned.

"But..."

"You used to like wrestling with me."

Bill went scarlet. "We were kids."

"And now we're all grown up. Come on, Bill, share your wolf with your little brother."

Charlie had licked his lips. "When do we start?"


That had been earlier this afternoon. Three hours after moon rise, they had met at the edge of the forest under the Hunter's moon. They were dressed warmly, and in dark Muggle clothes. Bill was still uneasy.

"It's too close to full. You might get hurt."

Charlie had snorted. "Listen, I appreciate your protective instincts, big brother, but I work with dragons, and even worse, with dragon keepers."

Bill had not laughed. Remus had shaken his head. "You love to hunt, Bill, and you know he's safe. I think your brother likes it a bit rough, yeah?" Charlie had nodded. "And it's not like we're going to eat him." He gave a feral grin. "At least not in the 'big, bad wolf' sense."

Bill had almost backed out then, but the moon was up, and he was almost crawling out of his skin. He finally gave himself a good shake, and rubbed his gloved hands together. "Let's go then."

"No rules?" Charlie had asked.

"No rules." Remus' grin flashed in the moonlight.

Charlie was the fox. As much as he was not averse to eventually being caught, his survival instincts and competitive nature took over, and he put all his efforts into avoiding the other two. He knew they were not working together to find him, and that if they came across each other, well....

Bill had jumped him once. He'd been distracted by the hoot of an owl, and Bill had come out of nowhere, hitting him hard with his shoulder, knocking him to the ground. They had wrestled in the leaves, scuffing up dirt and breaking sticks and generally making a racket. Charlie was afraid that if he didn't get away quickly, Remus would be on them, and then he wouldn't have a chance. Remus had grabbed Bill by the collar, and forced him to his knees. Bill had dropped his head submissively and remained still as Remus circled him. He couldn't hear what Remus said, but Bill nodded and rose. Charlie had a hard time stifling a gasp when Remus threw Bill back against a tree, and dropped to his knees in front of him. Charlie kicked and bucked, clawing at Remus' face and hair. His gloves prevented scratches, but the strength was there, and when he gave a final heave of his hips while throwing a punch at Remus' face, he was able to dislodge the man and scramble to his feet.

Remus caught the back of his jacket, pulling him into a bear hug. Charlie tried head-butting back into his face, but Remus pulled away with only a bloody lip.

Bill appeared.

"Hold him." Remus growled the command.

Bill paled and backed away, shaking his head. Remus managed to free one hand long enough to cuff Bill, then shoved Charlie into him. Bill stepped back, his hands automatically coming up to grab Charlie's arms as his back collided with a tree. Charlie's teeth snapped a fraction of an inch from Bill's nose before Remus yanked off his own glove with his teeth, and stuffed it in Charlie's mouth. Charlie kicked back as Remus tore down the collar of his jacket, and fastened his teeth on the back of Charlie's neck.

"Yield." The word was slightly muffled by Charlie's flesh.

"Fuck you." Charlie tried to spit the worlds out around the glove in his mouth, then couldn't stop himself from whimpering as Remus teeth closed harder on his body. Charlie stilled, and there was only the sound of ragged breathing in the woods.

Remus loosened his grip a little. "Will you yield?"

When Charlie didn't answer, Remus released him with a growl, and tore at his clothing. Charlie's trousers were soon in shreds. and he felt the hot head of Remus' stiff cock nudging at his entrance.
