Saturday: December/13/08 - Phone call: Starbuck/Kim Kim: *calls* Starbuck: *answers before the first ring completes* Are you okay? Kim: *sobbing* No. Starbuck: *sits down and rubs his forehead* Are you hurt? Kim: *sniffles* No. I just... *sobs* He hates me. Starbuck: *sympathetic* Baby, he doesn't hate you. He loves you. It's me he hates. Kim: *sobs* Starbuck: Where are you? Kim: *coughs, trying to breath through the tears* Block from their house. Starbuck: Do you want me to come get you? Kim: *sniffles* No. Starbuck: I don't think you should drive like this. Kim: I don't.. *breathes deeply, voice still shaky* Don't want you near here. Starbuck: *sighs* Baby, he won't know. I'll get a cab and then drive you home. Kim: No. *sniffles* If he comes looking, he'll... *trails off into tears* Starbuck: Then let me call a cab to pick you up. We can get the car later. Kim: *coughs, then breathes in* Ok. Starbuck: *takes a deep breath too* It's all going to be fine. Just try to calm down. I know you're upset, but too much stress is bad for Boomer. Kim: *takes another deep breath* I know. I just... *voice breaks* He doesn't care. Starbuck: Awe, baby, he does. He loves you, and that's why he's acting this way. He thinks I'm taking you away. Kim: *sniffles* He shut the door on me. Starbuck: *trying hard to not be pissed* He'll realize what he's done and want to fix it. Kim: *strained* I'm done thinking it's going to be alright. It hurts too damn much. Starbuck: *softly* I know. Kim: *sobs* I don't want to lose my brother. Starbuck: You won't. Kim: *sniffles* Feels like I already have. Starbuck: It's temporary, Kim. I promise. Kim: Please don't promise me that. Starbuck: He's trying to make you leave me, when he realizes it won't work, he'll change his mind. Kim: I told him I'd never leave you. Starbuck: And he's testing you. Kim: I can't handle it anymore! Starbuck: I know, baby. Just calm down. I need you to give me your location so I can call a cab. Kim: *sniffle* I... I'm on Manchester Road. Starbuck: Look at the GPS. Tell me the address. Kim: Five twenty-two Manchester in Salem. Starbuck: *mumbles the address as he scribbles it down* Okay.. I'm gonna hang up so I can call the cab company, but I'll call you right back. Kim: *sniffles* Alright. Starbuck: I love you. I'll call back in just a minute. *hangs up* Starbuck: *calls back after a minute* Kim: *picks up after one ring, voice raspy* Hey. Starbuck: The cab should be there in ten minutes. Kim: Ok. *sniffles* Starbuck: Do you want me to get anything for you? Kim: *softly* No. Starbuck: What can I do? Kim: I don't know. Starbuck: I love you so much. Kim: *voice breaks* I love you too. Starbuck: Kamea loves you too. Kim: *strained* I love her too. And Boomer. *takes in a shaky breath* This hurts so fucking much. Starbuck: You have family, Kim. Me, Kamea, Boomer, my mom. We're you're family. We love you. Kim: *sniffles* I know. I love you all, but... *sniffles* I still love Ed. Starbuck: I know you do. Give it some time. This is a lot for him to think about. Kim: I'm not holding my breath. Starbuck: I know it's hard to think positive right now, but I'm not giving up on him yet. Kim: I don't have the energy for it anymore. I can't be positive only to be let down again. Starbuck: Then let me worry about it. Just take care of yourself and Boomer. Kim: Please don't try to talk to him. Starbuck: I won't unless you ask me to. Kim: I wouldn't ask you that after the way he reacted. Starbuck: I will if you want me to eventually. Kim: *goes quiet for a moment then sniffles* Cab's here. Starbuck: Tell the driver to pull up to our parking lot. I'll meet you there. Kim: I will. *sounds of car doors opening and closing* Starbuck: It's going to be okay, Kim. Just think about Boomer. Kim: *coughs and clears her throat* I will. Starbuck: I'll see you soon. Kim: Alright. *hangs up*
