Powers (If any): Whilst he doesn't possess any actual supernatural powers, Stiles is brilliantly clever and a diligent researcher. He is also fiercely loyal to those he loves. And sometimes those things are worth more than being able to shift into any kind of creature.
Personality: As well as being smart and loyal, Stiles is also one in possession of a great and shining wit and sense of humour. At least that's what he'd want you to believe. His observations are usually tinged with sarcasm, but in lacking any other form of defense, cutting remarks and snarky comments are all he has to fall back on. His ADHD helps with the 'I'm okay' facade, making him understandably hyperactive, rather easily distracted and sometimes unnecessarily obsessive on irrelevant points. He still doesn't know if gay guys find him attractive-
Beneath that, though, Stiles is actually a deeply emotive guy. He feels a lot, a lot more than he lets on, and there are times when his mask of a hapless teenage boy slips to reveal the real, old head on his shoulders. He lacks the sense of self-worth he really deserves to possess, haunted as he is by his constant deprecation and the hard, heavy weight of the loss of his mom and the responsibility he has towards his dad. A responsibility that then extends out to Scott, Derek, anyone he feels worthy of his time. Worthier than himself.
Brief History: Stiles Stilinski was born in Beacon Hills, California. From a young age he was very inquisitive and keen to know everything. His parents were accommodating to his curiosities and welcomed his many successions of 'why's and 'how's and progressively in depth questions about the world around him. His intellect was always very apparent and is the one thing that he has to claim as a point of superiority over his peers. Despite all of the things that go on in his life and his lack of super powers, Stiles manages to find time to keep his grades up and read up on how to look after your pet werewolves.
Stiles has been best friends with Scott McCall since they were in preschool. It's a relationship that has developed into a bond far more akin to brothers than friends (Stiles has a key cut to Scott's house. It's true bromance) and he is desperately loyal to Scott despite his best friend being rather easily distracted by his super cool new powers and a super pretty girlfriend. Stiles will quite literally bend over backwards to do all that he can for Scott without a jealous word. His loyalty extends out, rather oddly, to Derek Hale as well (despite Derek scaring him), and though he'd never admit it, he does have a rather deep affection for his sourwolf.
Stiles is incredibly close to his father. After his mother's death when Stiles was young it has just been the two of them since. His dad works hard to provide for his son and in turn Stiles worries constantly about his dad. They have a deep affection for each other and Stiles' main issues revolve around keeping his dad ignorant of the trouble he is constantly getting in to and making his dad proud. Which he is. Even if Stiles feels undeserving of it.
Up to his canon point, Stiles has been helping Scott try and humanely defeat their friend Jackson, Beacon Hills' current big bad. He was given the responsibility of keeping possession of a bag of mountain ash, used to create a barrier against the supernatural. The ash was given to him by Dr. Deaton, who seems to believe that Stiles has a special something in order to use it.
He plays lacrosse as well. After a relatively unsuccessful career on the bench, his first starting game sees Stiles scoring a hat trick and winning the match for the Beacon Hills team. He is subsequently kidnapped, but it takes a bit more than a few bruises to stop a Stilinski-
