If you saw my earlier attempt at this, I am sorry. But the good news is that Trin is a mad genius and she FIXED IT FOR ME!!

	Amycus made his way over to the bar and ordered a firewhiskey. It wasn't that he didn't trust the house elves to make him something more difficult, he just wanted something simple for now. 	Sirius, already well into his fifth drink of the evening, was willing to look on even Amcycus Carrow with a certain benevolent fondness. "Damn right it is!" "Oh yeah." Sirius polished off his drink in one gulp. It was some fruity thing that Dotty had whipped up for him, all apples and lemon and, judging by the way the room refused to stay still, a Hell of a lot of Vodka. "S'brill! Ev'ryone needed to let off some steam I think, without it gettin violent. Things've been too violent lately."

He gestured to the house elf who quickly handed him another.

"I've heard that from several people recently," Amycus said casually. He was trying to remember that he needed to be careful what he said to people about what had been going on. And there was the matter of Rabastan's upcoming initiation into the Death Eater's that he was waiting for the final instructions on. At the thought he drained the rest of his firewhiskey and signaled for another drink.

"It seems like everyone's enjoying themselves," he said after a brief glance around the room.

	Amycus was certain that the distaste he felt at Sirius telling him he'd based the place off of a muggle club must have shown on his face but he shoved it down quickly. "I don't go to many clubs so I'll have to believe you about the place. Blokes as a whole don't do all that much for me," he admitted with a brief shrug. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Sirius, completely oblivious to any discomfort Amycus might be feeling, raised an eyebrow at him. "What, you're tellin me you've never snogged that pretty boy?" He nodded back at Rabastan, who was sipping a drink in the corner and trying not to look completely out of place. "Come on. He's bloody fit! Don't tell me haven't at least looked." Amycus pulled a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket and lit one, taking a long pull before responding to Sirius' question. "I said as a whole they don't do much for me. Rab's different," he said, setting the pack down on the bar beside him. He followed Sirius' gaze to where Rabastan sat in the corner and he frowned a bit. His friend didn't look like he was enjoying the party at all.

"Rab's definitely something," he said not wanting to look at it any closer than that. The kiss down by the lake was still weighing heavily on his mind but even more than that was the fact that he'd been wanting an opportunity to kiss him again without Dominic coming along to interrupt them.

Sirius, overwhelmed by good alcohol, leaned in and patted Amycus on the shoulder.

"I know that look mate." He glanced over at where Remus was standing, a soppy smile spreading over his face. "You and me, we got something amazing, eh? Never thought it's happen, you know? I mean, I think I've always fancied him, but we were mates, yeah? Best mates. 'nd I didn't wanna ruin it, but now... Fuck, I dunno what I did to get so lucky. You and me, eh? Luckiest damn bastards in the room."

Amycus looked at Sirius amusedly as the other boy patted him on the shoulder, thinking that he must have had more to drink than Amycus would have guessed. He followed the other boy's gaze to Lupin and then back at Sirius and smiled to himself, those rumors were true then.

"Not what I imagined happening certainly," he said, keeping his tone casual. His grandfather had taught him quickly how to tell people what they wanted to hear without ever actually saying the words. People wanted to believe that there was something between him and Rabastan and letting them believe it seemed to have settled the rumors down somewhat. Except with Avery but he didn't think anything would get him to back off about it.

"I can understand about not wanting to ruin things," he added taking another sip of his drink. "Something I always worry about with Rab but I've been lucky enough to keep him wanting me around so far."

	"I wouldn't worry mate." He hiccuped slightly, then drained his drink, motionion almost instantly for another one. "Jus look at im. He keeps glancin over here, you notice? That bit of a smile? Amycus felt his gaze go in Rabastan's direction involuntarily and noticed that slight smile that Sirius had pointed out and he smiled a little himself. "I hadn't noticed him looking over this way but I know that smile," he said quietly, his eyes locked on Reg.

"I guess so. It wasn't much of a kiss though. We were interrupted rather rudely," he said, draining his drink in one go and ordering another before he'd set the glass down on the bar. The alcohol must have been affecting him more than he'd anticipated, probably because he hadn't eaten much that day.

Amycus watched the other boy amusedly for a minute before standing up straight and looking over at Rabastan again. Sirius had a good point somehow and while he knew on one hand that he should question it he didn't want to right now. He left his new drink sitting on the bar as he walked across the room to his friend, stopping only long enough to clap Sirius on the shoulder as he walked past.

He came to a stop in front of Rab and then moved to lean against the wall beside him. "Having fun?" he asked quietly, reaching out with one hand to lightly run it up his friends arm, his eyes locked on Rab's.
