History

Christian Ozera was born to Lucas and Moira Ozera, a royal Moroi couple, in the early month of December 1992. His upbringing, for a while, wasn't bad. He had two loving parents and his paternal aunt Natasha to dote on him for most of his childhood. Things took a sudden turn for the worse when he was nine years old, however, and he tragically lost both his parents in one night to the ultimate taboo in their world - his parents chose to become Strigoi and he'd been none the wiser of their plans.

After his parents' violent deaths at the hand of the Guardians who rescued him and his aunt from being cornered, Christian elected to be sent off to live in Montana, at the renowned St. Vladimir's Academy. It was there he would remain for several more years, taking every summer vacation out to live with his aunt Natasha, who'd become like a second mother to him. Tasha was a renegade, and a strong advocate for Moroi being able to defend themselves with their magic, especially after what she and Christian had been through. If she'd known just a little more, if she'd been just a bit stronger, she would have been able to protect herself and Christian from her brother and his wife all the better.

Christian's time at the Academy remained mostly uneventful but he was a social pariah amongst the other students, always being seen under the shadow his parents' actions cast over the rest of his family. People avoided him, so he turned into something of a social recluse, choosing to spend most of his free time reading in the church attic, where he learned a lot about the history of his people and about the old Moroi legends like that of St. Vladimir and his shadow-kissed guardian, Anna.

It was at St. Vlad's Academy that he eventually gained the trust of and befriended both Vasilisa "Lissa" Dragomir and Rose Hathaway. Their many (mis)adventures brought them closer together - Lissa is his soulmate, the love of his life and his raison d'être. Rose is the annoying sister figure he'd grown to love all the same, and his absolute best friend.

Personality

Christian is generally friendly to most people. He can be a little grumpy and rough around the edges at times, but a lot of that roughness was eroded away over time as he grew closer to Rose and Lissa. Generally he tries to do the right thing, but he has a sharp tongue and it tends to land him in trouble, at times. He's also a bit petty and isn't above taking revenge against those who've wronged his loved ones. He doesn't really care too much about what people say about him, he knows his truth, but he'll absolutely shut down anybody who talks down about the people he cares about.

It's really hard for Christian to hide if he doesn't like someone. He has a kind heart and a good head on his shoulders. He'll absolutely be the first to put himself in harm's way to protect those he loves, but he's very bad at concealing his disdain for someone. If he knows you've mistreated one of the few people he actually cares about, you'd better be prepared for a lot of passive aggression and snide remarks, something he's quite skilled at. And heaven forbid you ever try to hurt Lissa, it will take every bit of self-control he has to not incinerate you on the spot. Lissa is his woman, and nobody messes with her unless they got a death wish.

Appearance

Christian isn't the type to be super-concerned with his appearance. He's hygienic but also very low-maintenance. He'll let his hair grow out for a while and just not care about getting a trim or a haircut, but he's really not big into the "scruffy look" and at least likes to try and stay clean-shaven.

Like most of his family, Christian has icy-blue eyes and black hair. It's the trademark "Ozera" look. He's taller than your average human and a bit on the pale side, due to being Moroi (a vampire). As far as clothing goes, he likes to keep things on the "dressy casual" side. He likes wearing things that fit him well, but he absolutely hates wearing suits in normal day-to-day life, so normally you'll see him wearing something like a clean, white t-shirt and denim jeans with a comfortable zip-up hoodie.
