APPEARANCE MORE LYRICS OR POEMS OR WHAT HAVE YOU HAIR COLOR: Black EYE COLOR: Brown HEIGHT: 5'7" BUILD: Curvy STYLE OF DRESS: When not in professor's robes, her style of dress is fairly casual. She wears a lot of soft cotton shirts, and the occasional dress. Her favorite season for clothing is fall and winter in which she can layer and compliment her clothing with jackets and scarves. DISTINGUISHING MARKS/FEATURES: Her front teeth are just slightly crooked, in the summer she gets freckles ANYTHING ELSE: Millie is highly uncomfortable with her appearance most of the time. When in school she was heavy set and a heavy face. Many times people called her ugly behind her back, and commented on her weight. When she left school she experienced a growth spurt that helped to thin her out and grow into her looks. PERSONALITY LYRIC LYRIC LYRIC LYRIC LYRIC LYRIC *Smart: Millicent is incredibly bright when she puts her mind to it. She worked with some of the best researchers in the world before coming to teach at Hogwarts. She's still conducting some research with Arithmancers all around the world. *Cunning: Millicent knows how to get what she wants with as little fuss as possible. The easier it is to get, the better. If it seems difficult, Millicent will work her way through an easier solution to get it rather than struggling through. *Persistent: Millicent never gives up on something she really wants. Whether it was in her apprenticeship and post-NEWT level study, her adoption of her son, or the crush she harbored for nearly a decade (because, let's face it, there's a part of Millie that will always love Draco Malfoy). When Millicent really wants something, she will push for it until she either gets it, or it's completely unsustainable for her to continue. *Reliable: It's pretty guaranteed that when someone asks Millicent to do something, either positive or negative, she is likely to do it without much thought as long as it's enticing to her for her own goals. When the Slytherin girls dared her to bully Sophie in exchange for their friendship, Millicent would do it in hopes that they would be her friend. *Nurturing: Millicent has a tremendous ability to care for her charges, and for her son. Sometimes it doesn't look like what a Hufflepuff would call nurturing, but it is teaching her students to grow. *Introvert: Millicent doesn't need a large friendship crowd to give her validation for herself or for her life. She's fine being on her own, and often enjoys her own company rather than having to put up with others demands for attention *Easily Pressured: While in school, especially, Millicent was easily able to be peer pressured into doing dirty work for others, especially the girls in her dorm. With the promise of friendship, many of the girls would encourage Millicent to bully others or mentally torture them. Presently, she's easily pressured to take on more work so her coworkers will like her. *Low Self-Esteem: Millicent has had a low self-esteem since childhood. She still sees herself as an ugly child and dresses in puffy coats and layers to hide her figure. Her self-worth has increased some as she has taken on the role of being a mother. *Refusal to Reflect: There are times that Millicent refuses to reflect on thoughts or feelings that scare her. One area is her attraction toward women. She's refused to touch that with a ten foot pole. BIOGRAPHY LYRICS LYRICS LYRICS LYRICS LYRICS LYRICS LYRICS When pureblood Victoria Bulstrode married muggleborn, Russian Andrian Petrikov, she kept her pureblood last name as it was one of the Sacred 28 families and encouraged him to change his, rather than the other way around. The Bulstrode family had been one of the high ranking "Sacred 28" and had only in the last two or three generations begun to accept marriages between muggleborns into their family. Millicent was the first in her mother's lineage to be born a half-blood, and many commented that the expansion of the line should have happened before her. Adjectives followed her throughout her childhood; "ugly", "quodpot defensive player", and "definitely no pixie" were just a few of the things that were said about her in her youth. She was heavy-set, with a strong jaw, and an unattractive curly haircut. Her mother, on the other hand, was tall, dark, and elegant. She also somehow didn't take on much of her father with his light hair and skin, other than a propensity to freckle. Millicent heard these comments from family members and strangers on the street and created a defensive wall around her heart that kept her from feeling too hurt by these comments. By the time she was sent to school, she had begun to look at her disadvantage as a way to get the things that she wanted. Few people paid attention to the "ugly girl" after remarking about her looks that she could sneak practically anywhere to grab snacks from the kitchen, toys from her cousins rooms at grandmothers, or even out of the house for a walk around the property. With this outlook, Millicent was easily sorted into Slytherin. While life in Slytherin wasn't the worst as a half-blood, it also wasn't the best either. Unlike her muggleborn dorm-mate Sophie, Millicent was peer pressured into becoming a bully to Sophie and other muggleborns. The pureblood girls in her dorm promised to include her in different things if she would do things like put the dead mice her cat caught into Sophie's bed, or to hide all of Sophie's things from her trunk. Millicent believed them and would do terrible things to Sophie because she wanted to belong. However, the pureblood girls never let Millicent join in. Millicent, therefore, slowly became friendly with Crabbe and Goyle, two of Draco Malfoy's sycophants. And slowly, she grew to have a crush on Draco. She'd never admit it, but almost everything she did from that point on was to impress Draco. Dueling club in second year? To impress Draco. Wrestling with Hermione during Dueling club? Well, that was partially to impress Draco and partially to impress Snape who was much better looking than that idiot Lockhart. Joining Care of Magical Creatures when she'd much rather take something not taught by a giant? Again, to impress Draco. On and on throughout her time at school, Millicent hoped to gain Draco's attention by being just as mean and tough as some of the boys. She even joined the Inquisitorial Squad with Draco in fifth year, hoping to impress him. It wasn't until Millicent's sixth year that she began to grow into her looks, and began to grow into the realization that Draco would never want her, and that really she probably didn't want him either. When she dreamed of love at night it was someone a bit softer than Draco. However, Millicent really didn't explore those thoughts very often. Millicent fared well under Headmaster Snape, and she still did think he was attractive albeit dangerous, but since when hadn't danger been a turn-on? She tried to stay out of as much torturing as possible, but did what she had to do to survive with the Carrows. When the battle came to Hogwarts, Millicent stayed out of it. After the war, and after school, Millicent went on to study Arithmancy at a post-NEWT level, and under a Master Arithmancer. She worked with notable Arithmancers to study the magical numerical properties of spells and to understand the scientific process of magic through using Arithmancy. Last year, she gained a position of Associate Professor of Arithmancy at Hogwarts, and she was happy to spend her year teaching young students the principals of Arithmantic studies, while under supervision of Professor Vector. Professor Vector decided she would retire in the next five years and wanted to take an apprentice on while she transitioned out. Millicent was familiar enough with Professor Vector through research and seminars that she reached out to Professor Vector and was offered the position. She also applied to adopt a muggleborn child, since she hadn't yet found a partner she was truly interested in yet, but did want to start building a family. In May, her adoption papers went through and she formally adopted an 8-month-old son named Adair. She is taking the summer off to spend with her new son and parents as they help her settle into her new role of mother. | |||
