I'm honestly not shocked that the store was vandalized. Obviously there are going to be people who are against it opening up. And some people choose the cowardly way to show it rather than a way that would identify them in the community.

Anonymous messages of intolerance won't get anyone anywhere. All they do are convince the general public that there are ignorant bigots out there who don't have the balls to file an actual complaint.

Precisely. And because of this intolerance of differences of opinions and views, vandalism is probably going to be the only way people will try to get their point across.

Yes. And those who claim to be so tolerant - in this case the ones who love Muggles or have no issue with them will continue to think that their way is the only right way. Already look at how they've decided that because Donald Bellamy does not believe in mixing Muggle creations with our magic, he is apparently someone to be suspicious of. They're looking for something to get up in arms about. Never mind that the man has disagreed with the vandalism publicly.

Because being intolerant and being an extremist are one and the same. At least, according to the "tolerant" they are. So Bellamy doesn't think we should mix Muggle creations with magic? He's right. Why else would be have an entire department at the Ministry for the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts?

This whole thing isn't going to lead anywhere good.

Of course it's the same thing. I mean, isn't as if there are different levels to things of this nature, is there? Or as if people are different and will therefore have different personal beliefs. Vandalising the store is exactly the same as being against its existence. I believe some people are bit too caught up in thinking it would be such a great idea to realise this fact.

I don't believe it will either.
