Yes, I've had the odd complaint - but on the whole I've been a saint.

HISTORY
Witch of the East End
- Augusta was born into a poor family. They lived on a poor street in a poor part of London. Her father worked at the docks, and her mother worked as a filing clerk in the day and as a barmaid at night. They were a close family, and their Muggle neighbours were their best friends. They showed no interest in the goings-on of the Wizarding World - those people were less than background noise, they lived in a fantasy world far removed from Bethnal Green. Without much in the way of toys or entertainment at home, Augusta spent most of her time playing in the streets. Sometimes on her own, but more often than not, she was found hanging out with the local muggle kids and getting into trouble with them. Climbing trees, racing snails, daring each other to jump into rivers or touch electric fences. The usual. The first time she got picked up by the muggle police and taken home (for trespassing on a building site), she was treated like a hero by her friends. Although her parents were less than pleased and as a result, Augusta was forced to stay indoors for three months.
Pregnancy:
In her fifth year, Augusta began dating an older boy. Franklin Longbottom was in his final year when they met, and a Gryffindor like her. They dated for two years, before Augusta - then 17 - became pregnant. Her visit to the hospital wing that day still sticks out in her mind as one of the worst days of her life. She told Franklin - who by that point was an up-and-coming Ministry employee - and he didn't return her owl for several weeks. She was devastated, but even in her fragile emotional state, Augusta refused to let it show. The only person she opened up to was her younger brother. After two months, and after Augusta had graduated (still with excellent grades, somehow), Franklin showed up on her doorstep and asked her to marry him. She was reluctant, but for the sake of the child growing in her belly, she agreed. She didn't want her son to grow up wanting for anything, and that included a father.
Glamour:
Augusta had once wanted to go into the DMLE, she had been working towards that goal for years, and now it was gone. Yes, it is possible to be a mother and an Auror, and if anyone could manage both Auror training and a newborn, it's Augusta. But things felt different now, it was as if her world had shifted out of focus and she had to readjust her angle. Whilst Frank was little, Augusta worked from home preparing complex potions and selling them. Whilst her nights were spent working at The Leaky Cauldron. She would pour pints, scrub the bar, throw out drunks. It wasn't glamorous and it was a far cry from the DMLE. There was no thrill, no adrenaline rush - and she looked on her Auror brother with envy. She loved him and was incredibly proud, but she was also resentful. Ridiculous, of course, but it was what it was.
A chance encounter:
On a particularly dreary Friday night, a man in a smart set of robes and a rather lovely smile began flirting with her from the other side of the bar. This wizard - Reggie - was obviously wealthy and was possibly the most confident, charming man Augusta had ever met. Augusta found herself at the summit of a slippery slope, she could choose to go back down the hill on the safe, slow ski-lift, or she could jump down at full speed. It was a no-brainer. She began using her potion skills to brew recreational potions to serve under the bar, she gambled stolen money on illegal boxing matches, Augusta tried a bit of everything. Despite what they say, Crime does indeed pay. Augusta had never been materialistic, but the extra money she had she used to secure a future for her son. She bought small businesses (which helped to launder this dirty money) and had a modest little empire and cut of the overall profits. With this money, she ensured her son had everything he could ever want. Books, fine clothes and a mother who never worked weekends. And she finally had the exciting life she dreamed of as a child, albeit on the other side of the coin.
Death of Frank and Alice:
Augusta had never been particularly maternal, but she loved her son more than anyone or anything in the world. That night hit hard. She still has nightmares about receiving that owl from Dumbledore at 2am. She can still recall arriving at her son's house as if it were yesterday. The remains of his and Alice's body strewn about the landing, and the screams of her grandson piercing the air. She and Dumbledore are the only people who know exactly what transpired that evening; and what happened to baby Neville.
SAMPLES
First Person.
So nice to see the Prophet hitting the hard news this morning. It turns out I'm a November, and my spirit animal is a water vole. I look forward to tomorrow's issue immensely.
[Private] Competency is such a rare bird in these woods, that I appreciate it when I see it. Unfortunately, they all seem to have flown south early this year. These children are so desperately reaching for the Minister's power, but the old goat is too blinded by their flattery to see it.
Third Person.
Waived. Don't @ me.
PLOT IDEAS
Augusta likes to poke people with a stick to provoke a reaction - especially if that reaction is incriminating in some way. Secret Order plots. Helping out the DMLE, albeit somewhat reluctantly. Using her connections for good.
