Intro
Josie got off the bus, took a moment to stretch, then got out of the way of her fellow travelers. She nodded and smiled to the couple she'd talked to for most of the trip as they headed out. Taking a bus wasn't the easiest way to get from place to place, but you met a lot of interesting people.
She hitched her guitar case more firmly onto her shoulder as the driver handed over her other bag from the belly of the beast.
"You staying on then?" he asked; they'd been riding together for many a mile.
"Yeah, think I'll see what the scene is like here. Never know, I might be high-tailing it back to the Big Easy before the week is out."
"Well, if you do, you look me up. I'll make sure your seat is all ready."
Josie laughed and offered him her hand. "Thanks Benny. Safe travels."
"You too Miss Josie. And thanks for that CD. My wife's gonna love it."
"I hope she does!"
Josie waved and headed off. Tampa. She didn't know a lot about the place but as long as it had decent coffee, a couple of good bars and at least one hotel without roaches, she might stay a while.
