It seems the weather is already growing cooler. Autumn is closing in, I suppose.

I only now realized I have not officially congratulated His Majesty and Miss Greengrass on their engagement. My apologies. Please allow this to be my public statement and best wishes for them!

I still feel week from the last turning. I think my age is beginning to get the best of me.

I'm not sure how I feel about this news. No. That's a load of rubbish. I'm sure I know exactly how I feel about this news. I can't believe that blithering idiot has gone and done it again!

The poor girl...

I can understand her desire to make herself anonymous. I commend her for it. I just wish he wouldn't put himself in this position in the first place. And I wish his lusts did not entrap so many young women.

He doesn't seem to understand, that the guilt goes both ways. And he feels the burdens less.

I suppose that's what comes with royalty, though.

Sirius, my dear friend...if I could hex common sense into you, I would.

	It isn't the spotlight Sir so much as the partner. I know I should not admit that publicly but as his adviser I am sure you are aware of his ... uneasiness to find a new match. He does seem to value his own choices. At the same time, he was born into a position of great responsibility. The prince may have limited choices in some arenas. However, in many other situations has his position not granted him choices that his subjects would never have?

I suppose there are pressures only a prince would understand. I remain very cooperative but it is difficult not to take it personally. Everyone must know he dislikes me.

It's a conundrum, is it not? A man who seems to have it all is truly limited where he feels it truly counts. Sometimes, I think, if the prince had been born a common-wizard, he'd complain at his limited options in career...

You're a wise girl. I think, in time, he will grow to understand. And I hope this marriage does not make you too unhappy.

It's hard to believe! Terrifying, actually. What will happen if I have to leave Sirius alone for too long???

But yes, it will be a relief to be back.

How's James, by the way? It feels like a long time since I've heard from him. Please tell me he's staying out of trouble.

My offer remains always open to brew batches for you whenever you need it. I was Slug Club President for four years running, if you recall-- Potions were my specialty.

Sirius will manage just fine, and you are never too far away. You can't protect him from himself every second of every day, you know!

James is well. I think he's getting a bit bored of me being home every day. He says it's difficult to get up to go to work when I'm lounging around reading in bed with little to no intention of moving for hours. He'll be glad when I'm back to work, too.
