Yet another year coming to a close, but with hope and possibility for the future I believe. And this despite the Black family's, as Isidore put it, shenanigans. Fortunately for the family, there seems to be at least one slim possibility that the family might not destroy itself. Regulus surprised me with his foresight and his sensibility in this matter. But then, I suppose that becoming the head of the family forces a certain maturity and responsibility that you cannot know until you have been given that responsibility.

And then of course, there is the matter of the shield. I am flattered that the Dark Lord considers me a worthy guard of the object and it should be safe within my vault. I will check on it again tomorrow, but in the meantime, I hope that I can be worthy of his trust in this matter.

We will still be having the Healer on Christmas day, I presume? I know that is what we had discussed.

And I have sent an invitation to Mother and Laelia for Christmas dinner. Will any of your family be joining us as well?

Happy birthday, dearest, sister. I hope that you do not mind, your present took a bit longer to arrive and I will have it with your Christmas present.

Did you enjoy yourself at the Mulciber's ball?
