	I haven't, Mother demanded that we set up decorations. I couldn't exactly say no, you know how I'm more than willing to decorate. I'll ask Lucia soon. ~~If she even wants me around her children.~~ (Reply to this) (Thread)

Perhaps you should spend the afternoon over here tomorrow? If mother complains, I shall speak with her. After all, decorations are not the only important thing about the holidays and I should like to see my younger sister.

Laelia, Lucia told me about the scuffle with the ladies and I likely should scold you for your momentarily impropriety, but I find myself unwilling to do so. Lucia has already mentioned those things to you and she does care for you like you were her own sister. I ~~hope~~ think Father would feel as if you have been reminded adequately enough and I know that you will be more careful in the future. It may have been a difficult year for us, but the family name is the legacy that Father has given us, and that is how we carry him with us.

This entire situation has reminded me that we should talk. You are twenty years of age and your birthday will be upon us shortly. Many young women are courting or engaged at your age, and I know that Father would want this to be the case for you as well. You are a beautiful and talented young woman that any man would be fortunate to call his wife. I know we would have both preferred if Father could be the one to arrange these things for you, but since that is an impossibility, I will do my best to retain his high standards for your match. ~~And I wish~~ ~~I had asked~~ ~~Rabastan Lestrange~~

I would be happy to. Mother should be fine with it, we were able to do all the major decorations that we both wanted to get done. I'm sure she'll have the house elf do the rest.

I have to admit, I was expecting a bigger lecture but I am happy that you decided against it. I feel stupid enough, I did not realize they would make a big deal over this. Call me an innocent child all you wish but I still do not understand just what was so terrible about it. Personally, I thought it would be a fun idea. It's not like I was asking them to get naked and do something outrageous. However, since it is looked at as a horrible suggestion I won't say anymore. I've learned my lesson. ~~To never try to help out those boring tea drinking, gossiping ladies again. I promise you, I will not turn into one of them.~~

I don't know what you expect me to say to that. We both know, I cannot have any control of who wants to court me. It is ultimately your decision of who would be appropriate for me.

If there is hidden meaning with that question, then the answer is no. I know that's not the answering you were hoping for.

I know that you meant well and I know that Lucia does as well. The lady's gossip will turn to something else within a day I am certain.

The only hidden meaning is that I would like for you to be happy in your marriage. There are a small selection of young men in the British Isles that are suitable for your marriage, it is true, but if you were friends with someone within our society, I would certainly consider that information when making the decision. Are you planning to attend the Muliber's ball?

There's no need. I'd rather not continue to drag out more than it already is.

~~Are you happy with yours?~~To be honest, there really is no men that I can say that I have looked at in that manner. Most of them are younger than me and as a small request I would rather be more interested in someone who is more mature. ~~Because going after someone who is fun with a sense of humor is probably not in the cards for me.~~ Yet, still amusing in some sense. I was planning on it, yes.

In general it would be good if he were a bit more mature and settled into his responsibilities. ~~Some of our young men have not quite reached that stage~~ Perhaps you could consider those young men on your dance card at the ball?
