[Warded to Individuals involved with First Impressions]

My wife has been kind enough to outline Miss Vance's suggestion that this group assist those young people whose lives have been changed in the recent werewolf attacks. I know that this is hardly a topic that we would wish to dwell on. After all, we have seen the ill that can be caused by werewolves during the full moon, and it is not a pleasant thing at all.

Most of you know that I have a vested interest in this project, and the more that I have considered Miss Vance's proposition, the more important I feel it is that our group take a stand towards something that might well benefit all of our society. As a parent myself - and I know that many of us are parents - I cannot begin to imagine how difficult it must be. And while I doubt that any of these parents are considering their child's education at the moment - more interested in seeing them safely healed and through next month - as time goes by they will be, and we must do what we can to assist them in ensuring that their child grows up understanding the wizarding world, and their role in creating a productive and safe society.

We must consider children with special circumstances as we look to matters such as enrolment and I urge those of you in charge of these policies to think inclusively - after all, that is one of the purposes of this school, to bring together children of Magical birth and prepare them for their Magical education at Hogwarts. In the immediate moment, I will be taking the time to visit the parents and children involved, to best determine what their needs are at this moment in time and hopefully to assist them in making the connections that will be most beneficial for them in these early stages. I encourage each of you to do similarly as your time and situation allows.

On a non-related note, has it been determined who will be looking at the curriculum for the school? I should enjoy being involved in the conversations on that matter.

I hope that is vaguely supportive enough to be satisfactory. There are any number of more liberal individuals sitting upon the committee whose interest I do not wish to discourage at this point in time. As far as 'inclusion' goes - when was the last time you saw a werewolf at Hogwarts? It will never receive Ministry approval.

I looked at buying you a city for Christmas, but I'm afraid they were all sold out - will something a bit smaller suffice?

The de facto topic of choice seems to be Christmas shopping. I have done some of mine, but I confess not nearly all. I shall attempt to finish that up this week, I think.

Dulcinea and I discussed Miss Vance's suggestion and we wondered if a separate service could be created for these children, not within the school itself but tailored to their needs. Would this be appropriate? It could be taken upon by First Impressions or by the Ministry, if they prefer to keep it within their control.

I offer my time to visit those families, if anyone else wants to pair up with me on those.

	Thank you, Miss Wilkes. It might be that something along those lines would be appropriate. I think that we will need to work closely with the Ministry and of course with Werewolf Services, to help provide education in a way that will be safe for all involved. Thank you for your consideration on this subject, Mr Nott; I cannot properly express how gratifying it is to read your words on the matter. It was a mistake wholly on my part to have expressed these ideas in so open a manner, and for any uncomfortable speculations that have arisen from this suggestion, I most sincerely apologise.

I fear that my original words, written in a moment of emotionality and read likewise in such a state, might have unfortunately misrepresented my intent. Enrolment for the unfortunately affected children would, I confess, be a more drastic measure than any I had turned my mind to; monthly security concerns are not to be treated lightly. Mrs Greengrass has enlightened me to the practical side of the situation, which I confess as well that I had not adequately considered at all.

Nevertheless, I do stand by my original assertion that by extending supportive resources toward these children in their upbringing -- for they are, at the heart of the matter, still only children -- can do nothing but good. There is the age-old question of nature versus nurture, and while it is a categorical impossibility for lycanthropy to be nurtured away, I believe there is still a world of difference between those who have had the opportunity to be proper socialised and those who grow up with no proper concept of civilisation or at all, only to become half-savage Calibans capable of perpetrating the sort of crimes that befell us as a society last full moon.

But I have already written too much on this subject here, and will not inundate you any further with such a world of postulations. So once more, thank you for taking the time out of your indubitably busy schedule to consider the matter at all.

As much as I would like to say that enrolment is a certainty, I believe you work at the Ministry and understand the difficulties such a idea will likely encounter. I know that everyone was a bit emotional during those moments, but I personally feel that all involved with the committee ought to feel free to voice their concerns and suggestions.

The practicalities of such a thing are indeed daunting but I can certainly argue with nothing in your original assertion, Miss Vance. My intention with presenting this school was that every child with Magical parents would have the opportunity to learn reading, writing, and other basic skills that would assist them in being good citizens.

If there were visits to families on weekend, I could join in.

I wish I had the time to get involved in discussing the curriculum, for my foray into research for the Heritage Minutes project sparked my interest for academic matters. If there is anything I could do, I'll be happy to.

If you would like some publicity regarding those visits to the victims' families, please let me know. I'll be glad to put in a word for the project. Is there anything else that should be addressed on the air, as well? I offered to publicize Mrs Rookwood's caroling idea, if it does go forward.

That, and perhaps it might soon be time for some general publicity - if you would be open to such a suggestion. I am pondering a simple interview. Perhaps with myself, Sarah Cornfoot - if she is open to the suggestion, as it was her original comment that prompted the project in the first place. We could share with the Wizarding World our intent to be an inclusive school for wizarding children, and perhaps some of the curriculum items that will be covered?

It is a good suggestion; an interview would probably give you the best impact. Sarah is a friend and I can ask her if she feels up for this, but I wouldn't want to step on any toes in the committee, and so I will leave it to the both of you to decide the best way to determine who should represent First Impressions for this interview.

While we're on this topic, when would be the best time for it?
