STYLE: Growing up in the muggle world, Evie tends to prefer muggle clothing over wizarding clothing. This means at works she tends to shun robes and is instead found in the shop wearing a smart shirt and fitted black trousers. She feels they are far more practical for her career then robes that could potentially act as health and safety risks around the boiling cauldrons. Outside of work though, Evie tends to favour more form fitting clothing and loves nothing more then being given the opportunity to put on a pair of high heels and head out on the town.

Political ViewsBeing a muggleborn, Evie actively feels the tensions around her, every day. While she wants desperately to believe that the Ministry are going about things the right way, she cannot help but feel they could be doing more, and they are not. It is a source of frustration at how unprotected she feels at times..

When her hands dry out from cleaning products, washing the dishes, laundry day, being alone for too long, being trapped anywhere without the ability to roam to long, thunder, unapologetic people, people who are constantly late for everything and loud chewers.

On the whole, Evie comes across as a sweet and caring individual. Realising a long time ago that violence begets violence, she has made it her goal in life to spread kindness wherever she can. This, for Evie, can take many forms, such as donating to charity, buying lunch for a homeless person on the street or just giving a friend a couch to crash on for the night. She likes to think that if the world was just a little kinder, they will be able to keep the encroaching dark out permanently.
ARTISTIC
While large parts of her life have been focused on her studies and the pursuit of knowledge, Evie is an incredibly artistic individual. While she is adequate at painting, her real passion comes from sketching. Evie loves nothing more than sitting down in some random cafƩ where nobody knows her and drawing people as they passed her by. That being said, Evie continues to carry around a small sketchpad and pencil in her bag, no matter where she is going in case the mood strikes her.

IMPOSTER SYNDROME
In a lot of ways, Evie is the living embodiment of Imposter Syndrome. No matter how well she might be doing in her career and life to the outside world, she very much feels like she still doesnāt āquite belongā. This can mean that Evie often tries to overcompensate by working herself to the limit in hopes that people do not āfind her outā. As a result of this, she is prone to bouts of anxiety and burnout, where she will then retreat into herself a little.

UNABLE TO ASK FOR HELP
Not wanting people to think that she is incapable of anything, and cannot juggle everything herself, Evie is awful at asking for help when she needs it. If a friend was struggling, she would be the first person to encourage them to ask for help, yet she rarely does it herself. Caught somewhere between not wanting to be a burden and not wanting people to think she cannot do something, it takes a lot for Evie to ask for help from anyone.

HISTORY
Evelyn Thomas was born the youngest daughter of Marie and Arthur Thomas. Growing up the daughter of a Doctor and an Accountant; it was safe to say that Evie enjoyed a decidedly middle-class upbringing on the edge of Chester. Spending her youth going to the local Private school and attending a series of afterschool activities, Evie was happy with her charmed life.
So, when she received a letter inviting her to attend Hogwarts, rather than her local Secondary school, it was fair to say it was a surprise to her family. While there had been a few strange goings-on in the house, like things moving, her family had put it down to misplacing items as it never crossed their mind that their daughter could be a witch. After many discussions between her parents and the school, it was finally agreed that Evie would be allowed to attend the school for a year. If it was not to her taste, then they would remove her, and she could continue to attend her local muggle school. Using the cover story that she had won a scholarship at a private boarding school to her friends, the rest is history.
Hogwarts for Evie was a special place that she adored. From the very first moment that she crossed the water, she fell in love with the wonder of the castle and the grounds. Stepping into the Great Hall, she was filled with awe at the sight of the candles floating and the benches of smiling faces. No matter how many times she had imagined coming to Hogwarts when she had received her letter, the reality was far better.Being sorted in Ravenclaw, Evie almost immediately established herself to be one of the tops of her class. Feeling as though her friends who were born to Magical families had an advantage, she would work twice as hard and read twice as much as her friends to ādeserveā her place within the school. This worked well for her, and in subsequent years she made Prefect.
