Oh, it is completely understandable.

I don’t want you to center your plans around me, does your family celebrate any of these events? Worst case scenario, I can always come to the fire house and cook for your friends, if you would like

I anticipate you being a central part of my plans so tough luck.

Generally I spend what time I can with my found family. They're used to not every holiday being possible. Do you have any traditions you love or want to start?

Shall we perhaps say New Year? Then those with families can be with children on Christmas and Thanksgiving?

In the interim, I could always cook for you and your friends working the holidays

That's extremely kind of you. I'm sure everyone will appreciate it.

The schedule will roll out next week so we'll see soon enough what we can do to make the on shift team more comfortable. The weather really dictates how things are on the actual day. Also what food network says is the best way to cook a turkey this year. Fingers crossed it's an oven roasting year.

Excellent! Just let me know when you know how many to cook for, and if there are any dietary requirements and I'll start pre-ordering food for Thanksgiving.

If you would like Oven Cooked, I can certainly do oven roasted.

There will be 9 of us on duty for each holiday. That's two truck crews and a bonus person.

It doesn't matter how it's cooked. Whatever you want to do we'll all appreciate no matter what the holiday.

9 is certainly easy enough to cater for.

As long as I get to spend some time with you, I don't care where we are.

It’s usually fairly quiet by the time we teach actual dinner time. There’s the lull while people eat before they start driving drunk after almost burning homes down.

Serious, what do you like to do around the holidays? Obviously we’ll have to go visit one of the parks. I’ve never looked for holiday specific fun stuff but I’m sure it’s out there.

Oh god, that sounds......fun

Disney at Christmas is quite lovely, and Epcot usually has a lot of fun food-related events on.

Failing that, perhaps we go look at Hogwarts in Universal?
