Parkinson (Paternal), Uncles: Owen Flint (Maternal), Rabastan Lestrange (through Marriage) Cousins: Max Black, Marcus Flint, Estella, Eilonwy, Elspeth Lestrange PERSONALITY TOP 5 STRENGTHS: Loyal Persistent Passionate Resourceful Thick-skinned TOP 5 FLAWS: Blasé attitude Rude Impulsive Jealous Spiteful GREATEST DESIRE/MOTIVATION: Pansy wants a life of her own, not one that has been thrown at her. Independence and freedom are so much more important to her now that she's suddenly been made Head of House. She's happy to have her new job, and makes sure she spends most of her spare time abroad with her friends, enjoying new experiences. GREATEST FEAR: Being tied down as Head of House, having to produce heirs and actually have to care about stuff like that. ROYAL AMBITION: Honestly, she's not overly bothered, but yeah, she'd like to get House Parkinson into a more favourable position (if only for her own selfish reasons), and the best chance of that is if a Purist House like the Malfoys are in charge. HISTORY TOP 5 DEFINING MOMENTS: A lesson in loyalty - Despite being born into riches, Pansy always had to work to get what she wanted. From a young age she was taught that the good things in life were earned, and not given freely. She would perform errands for her parents who would reward her with toys and gifts. They were simple things at first, like making tea or tidying her room, but as she aged they began using Pansy for more lucrative tasks. She remembers stealing a diamond brooch from the bag of a lady at Court and running it back to her father. The diamond was of little interest to him, it was more a lesson in obedience and in putting loyalty before morality. She was told that this would get her far in life. Little monster - Pansy is the youngest and only girl, with two older brothers. She completely idolised her brothers, and as a child would go out of her way to try to impress them. She finally succeeded when she made a very snide comment to a group of ladies at a dinner party. She was six at the time, and her brothers laughed for ages. From that day on, Pansy has used her sharp tongue as much as possible. Her brothers don't even have to be in earshot anymore, it's just become second nature to her. Hogwarts: Pansy hated school. Being hundreds of miles away from her family, stuck in a cold oppressive castle, and having to do homework...without the protective bubble of Parkinson Manor, Pansy felt alone and miserable. She wasn't little Pansy here, nobody cared about her or even knew who she was. She would get 'accidentally' barged in the corridors, nobody would speak to her much at dinner, and nobody particularly cared where she sat in class. Eventually she snapped, and shouted very obscene things at a Ravenclaw who had stepped on her foot in Charms. She received a happy response from her fellow Slytherins, just as her brothers had enjoyed her mean-streak when she was little. From then on, Pansy used her mean-spirited nature to assert her dominance over her fellow students and soon gained a circle of friends. Where art thou?: During a big, boozy night out in Prague, Pansy got separated from her group and wound up at a house party. Standard behaviour for her, and it was an excellent night (from what she remembers). In the morning, she finally staggered back to the hotel and rejoined her group, only to be informed that her brothers were both missing. There was no note, no clue as to where they went, and all their stuff was left in their rooms. After weeks of investigation they were finally presumed dead, as they have not been seen since. Pansy was devastated, and spent a good long month holed up in her apartment drinking and taking mind-altering potions. With help from her friends, she came through the worst of it, and decided to put her life in order. She applied to the DMLE to train as an Auror three months later, and was accepted. Head of House: The disappearance of her brothers managed to rip her family apart, and soon after Pansy's father became so consumed with grief that he became sick and stepped down as Head of House. With her brothers out of the picture, Pansy was forced to assume the mantle. To her, this means her life is no longer her own and that she has to grow up and act like a Lady. She is so angry and frustrated about this, and has acted accordingly. The urge to run away is only stayed by her deep-set loyalty she has for her family -- she threatens it regularly, however. HAPPIEST MEMORY: Her first (legal) night out with her brothers. Specifically - drunkenly singing Celestina Warbeck songs at the top of their voices down Tottenham Court Road, at five in the morning. WORST MEMORY: The Ministry attack, sitting at home waiting for news. Then being told her brother were dead. BIGGEST SECRET: Pansy occasionally gets blank postcards in the mail, and she knows they're from her brothers. She suspects they have joined something illegal, or are hiding from someone involved with such things. WHERE ARE THEY NOW?: She is Head of a minor house. One of the youngest Heads in Britain, if not the youngest. She was accepted into the Auror training programme in January. She sees this as a way to hold onto her independence, and to have something of her own, so she's very passionate about it. Even if she doesn't always show it to her superiors. DIFFERENCE FROM CANON: She's a lady! She's an Auror. PLOT IDEAS: + Head of House. With two older brothers, Pansy never considered the possibility of being HoH. She doesn't want it, and she will not play along. + Young Purists. Pansy doesn't care about politics as much as most - except when it amuses her. She'll be willing to get involved until it gets too political and shitty. Then she'll throw her hands up and head back to the bar. + Because of her disregard for the political game, Pansy is ready and willing to say what's on her mind. Especially if the person needs to hear it in order to get their head out of their arse. + Marriage. It will be expected now more than ever, although he prospects just got a lot smaller. She would have to marry a second/third/forth son, or *gasp* a commoner.. I am totally open to an unconventional pairing. Purist married to an anti-purist? + DMLE: Pansy is a fairly new recruit, and is still learning the ins-and-outs of it all. She's enthusiastic, but doesn't always show that. |
