I take it he's actually trying to piss off half the Kingdom, or half the purist lot at least. Malfoys, Lestranges, Selwyns - even Mills. Hell of a coincidence, isn't it? I think Patil is the only one he'd actually consider out of those, but she's still like...80 years younger than him.

Oh Merlin, I feel bad for not including Lonnie in the list. I was focused on wanting to reach out to the "lucky" contestants. Let's leave Patil off the guest list and perhaps I'll simply send her some firewhiskey. As long as it's only our usual social group, there's no reason for the Prophet to show any interest at all.

You say that now, but the Prophet likes to poke its nose in everywhere. They'll probably say we invited them over so they could fight it out -- or even so they could form some sort of bride alliance. Whomever gets picked HAS to make the others (and us) their ladies-in-waiting, under pain of death....You know what journalists are like.

Yes, I do, which is why I made sure to approach Mr. Pettigrew about advertisements for my musical. Aside from wanting to promote the musical, it also means we have an established business relationship and it wouldn't be worth it to ruin that for purely speculative gossip.

I've no doubt he'd throw me under the Knight Bus if he had supporting evidence of something that would sell him a lot of papers, but as of right now, he doesn't.
