PLAYER NAME: Amy AGE: 27 EMAIL: fatalflower@hotmail.co.uk DESIRED PB: Krysten Ritter CHARACTER JOURNAL: pugnacity_ REFERENCE: I play people. CHARACTER NAME: Pansy Mary Parkinson AGE/DATE OF BIRTH: 22 / October 18th CLASS: Nobility BLOOD STATUS: Pureblood OCCUPATION: None, but that will have to change soon. HOUSE ALIGNMENT: Black HOGWARTS HOUSE/YEARS: Slytherin '98 MARITAL STATUS: Single SEXUALITY: Bisexual FAMILY: Parents: Michael and Violet Parkinson Older Brother: [Name] Parkinson She's also related to pretty much every British noble pureblood in some way or another. Hurrah for centuries of inbreeding. PERSONALITY 5-10 STRENGTHS: Loyal, passionate, resourceful, thick-skinned, good sense of humour, open-minded, adaptable 5-10 FLAWS: Blasé attitude, rude, impulsive, spiteful, brash, lazy, addiction problems, always late GREATEST DESIRE/MOTIVATION: Chaos for the sake of it. Pansy likes to be entertained, she loves drama and twisting the proverbial knife. Like most bullies, she enjoys hurting people because it makes her feel slightly better about herself. Even if it's just for a little while. GREATEST FEAR: Turning into her mother. POLITICAL AGENDA: She thinks this rebellion sounds hilarious and would support it in a heartbeat if it helped to stop batshit people like Lucius Malfoy or Bellatrix Lestrange from getting their grubby paws anywhere near the shiny hat. She has dreams of completely dismantling the nobility, allowing her friends to just be 'normal' people who can choose their own lives. Whether or not she can be bothered to help the rebellion effort remains to be seen. POLITICAL ALLIES: Her House has been allied with House Black for centuries, and her Father is a former Auror turned Blackcloak. She has good friends in a few different Houses, but the thought of calling them 'allies' makes her gag. HISTORY TOP 5 DEFINING MOMENTS: Little monster - Pansy is the youngest and only girl, with an older brother. She completely idolised her brother, and as a child would go out of her way to try to impress him. She finally succeeded when she made a very snide comment to a group of ladies at a dinner party. She was six at the time, and her brother laughed for ages. From that day on, Pansy has used her sharp tongue as much as possible. He doesn't even have to be in earshot anymore, it's just become second nature to her. Hogwarts: Pansy hated school. Being hundreds of miles away from her family, stuck in a cold oppressive castle, and having to do homework. Pansy felt alone and miserable. She wasn't little Pansy here, nobody cared about her or barely knew who she was. She would get 'accidentally' barged in the corridors, nobody would speak to her at dinner, and nobody particularly cared where she sat in class. Eventually, she snapped and shouted very obscene things at a Ravenclaw noble who had stepped on her foot in Charms. She received a happy response from her fellow Slytherins, just as her brother had enjoyed her mean-streak when she was little. From then on, Pansy used her mean-spirited nature to assert her dominance over her fellow students and soon gained a circle of friends. Draco: The little shit. Pansy still cringes thinking about it, but she had a big crush on her now close-friend for most of her sixth year. The Malfoys were a whole other level of nobility, they were sophisticated, wealthy and so damn...proper. Pansy knew the only way Draco would ever marry her is if she became something she just wasn't. She tried to be softer, prettier, more ladylike... and it was exhausting, so eventually, she gave up. No one was worth that shit. It was then she accepted that she was never going to fit in with those fancy noble types and she would remain a constant disappointment to her parents because of it. Insecurities intensified and she started down a very long and dangerous road. Christmas Morning: After Hogwarts, Pansy made a career out of partying. And not those poncy noble parties either -- proper ones. Full of real people. She'd go out nearly every night, rarely slept, barely ate. It wasn't until Christmas of last year that she accepted she had a problem. Under the cold, bright lights of St Mungo's hospital - where she had spent the night - Pansy knew she wasn't living like this just because it was fun. She had to live like this. She was an addict. She needs help, but she has refused to seek it -- she thinks as long as she's only hurting herself, then what does it matter? Disowned: Or close to it. Her parents kicked her out of the estate and cut her off from the family funds after her behaviour became too much for them. They were furious, and didn't even let her pack a bag. She pretended not to care, and that they were doing her a favour, but really she's pretty annoyed about it. No money, no job, nowhere to sleep and only the clothes on her back. She can only go back home when she decides to "grow-up and act like a lady". So yeah, it's not happening for a while. HAPPIEST MEMORY: Her first (legal) night out with her brother and her friends. Specifically - drunkenly singing Celestina Warbeck songs at the top of their voices down Tottenham Court Road at four in the morning. Things seemed so simple. WORST MEMORY: Waking up stone-cold sober in St Mungo's on Christmas morning. The most depressing place to spend the holidays, more so because of the circumstances. She had a friend pick her up, and to this day, they do not speak of it. BIGGEST SECRET: Pansy has killed someone. Not intentionally. She gave them something to 'take the edge off', so to speak, and they had a bad reaction to it. She watched them die and couldn't do anything to help, then she ran. She gets pangs of guilt about it to this day, especially whenever she sees a member of their family. CURRENT LIFE: As of the start of the game, Pansy has been kicked out of her family home. So she's trying to sort her life out and adjust to living without so many luxuries. Money being one of them. DIFFERENCE FROM CANON: She's a lady! None of the Voldemort stuff. She's also less of a purist - she just hates everyone equally now. PLOT IDEAS: What would you like to do with this character? Why did you apply for them? Do you have any big game ideas for them? Are there any plotlines you would like to play out? - Kicked out! Pansy has just lost all her comforts and luxuries, including her money. She has about 10 sickles in her pocket and that's it. Trying to get her on her feet - whilst refusing charity - will be fun. - Party girl. Pansy is a bad influence, and although she wouldn't encourage her friends to follow her lifestyle choices, she does have a way of rubbing off on people. - She's angry right now, and wants her parents to feel it. She'll be doing bad things, and then planning her revenge. Revenge being named Queen and then exiling them to the Isle of Elba. Or something along those lines -- she fantasizes about it a lot. - Getting a job and perhaps finding her calling. I'm thinking of something medical, maybe? We''ll see. |
