Sometimes it's really hard impossible to see the best in people.

Astoria
I'm sorry for not getting in touch sooner. Issues with-- How are you? Do you need anything? I'm sure you're being well cared for but should you need any help, please do not hesitate to ask.

Lady Daphne
I'm so sorry to hear about what happened to your sister.

Flora
I was supposed to meet Astoria this week to show her some of my music... I might have met this man. I really can't understand how someone could do that to another person.

Added later: ASTORIA WANTS TO HEAR ME PLAY.

If she thinks I'm good enough she wants me to play in her musical. I may be having a minor panic attack. She said she's going to talk to father. But--I don't want to get my hopes up because he might say no and she might hate how I play and--I've never been on stage! And this isn't a good idea. I should tell her I'm not doing it. I'll tell her now. Telling her now.

Added later: SHE WANTS TO HEAR ME PLAY TODAY. You have to come with me. Please.

I suppose men like Bennett win if we start thinking the worst of everyone.

I think it might be best if you ward any comments in my journal. My father--Weasleys--

Men who treat women like that don't deserve to be called men. Scum may be a more apt name.

Oh. I understand. My apologies for leaving it unwarded before.

I don't think that's a thought universally shared.

Thank you. Have you managed to learn a new language since our meeting?

Perhaps not universally, but there are enough who share my feelings on the matter.

I'm afraid I'm slacking off, my lady. I've only managed to learn some basic phrases and how to count in Gobbledegook, thus far.

That's very good to know.

Counting is a very useful skill. I think that's quite an accomplishment in such a short time though I don't know if Lord Crouch Sr would agree.

Perhaps not, but we can only ever do our best. Besides, goblins handle our money. Knowing how they say their numbers seemed the most useful thing in their language to learn.

Yes, I suppose you're right.

I'd be happy to loan you the book once I've mostly learned the language. If you were interested in trying it.

I'm not sure it's something I could learn. I've never had an ear for languages.
