PERSONALITY: Sterling is the sort of guy who looks out for number one. He's never cared who he had to step on to get to the top, and he didn't get to the top by looking back on the damage he'd caused. He's got a reputation to uphold, he's known as a pompous ass, a right bastard, and he's quite proud of that reputation and isn't afraid to use it to his advantage.

Sterling is analytical. He pays attention to the world around him. He takes in facts, and he isn't afraid to come to his own conclusions. He's well read and he's outspoken. He is not a conformist, but a free thinker, and he thinks everyone else has a right to hear his view of things.

He's not an easy man to live with. But, it is said that every man has a weakness. Sterling's weakness is Nathan Ford. Sterling would do anything, even compromise his own values and beliefs for Nate. He'd even go so far as to put the needs of someone else ahead of his own. Nate is the one person Sterling won't sacrifice, the one person he won't cast aside. Of course he's got to do this in the most underhanded way possible, and he's not above using Nate and his (Nate's) team to get what he wants.

But even Nate doesn't know all Sterling's secrets. Nate doesn't know Sterling was married, that he had a daughter. He blames himself for the wife leaving him, and perhaps this is one thing that shames Sterling, and so he keeps it a secret.

ABILITIES: Sterling is well read and street smart. He doesn't miss a thing. He's observant and he's calculating, manipulative. He's driven and determined.
WEAKNESSES: Sterling is self centered and impulsive. He doesn't care who or what he has to do to get what he wants.

CANON POINT: After S3 Summer finale. He's just been reunited with his daughter, and now he's here. Without her. Ut-oh.
