Raziel - Fallen Archangel of Secrets and Wisdom (thefirstfallen) wrote,
"I believe so. I can't see myself. Without claws, of course. And I could, of course, see things." His wings ruffled at her touch, sending a small cloud of soot up against the hardwood, which he immediately disappeared so he didn't make a mess of things. "And I would very much appreciate it, if you don't mind awfully." He kissed her cheek. "Oh, Mary, I could never stop loving you. I have one thing to ask you before you go off to start playing groomer." He smiled, still knelt by the couch, holding her hands, but he moved his thumb and forefinger delicately over her ring finger, and around it, he summoned a lovely, gold and diamond band, understated and humble, but still obviously picked specifically to suit her - it was delicate, with a heart-cut diamond, and her name engraved on the inner band. "Be my wife. I know I can be insufferable and impossible to be around at times. But you've seen the worst of me, and loved me even then. You've been patient with me over this past year. Please, I could not imagine loving anyone deeper than I love you." His voice was deep, raw and untethered. To the first man, it had been terrifying. But as opposed to his demonic tone, his showed no malice of contempt. It was simply powerful.
