Cafe

For the tenth time in the past twenty minutes, I can't help but ask myself why I'm coming here.

Why I am meeting her here of all places?

Walking up to the counter to order a drink, I take a quick glance around the cafe and don't spot the brunette.

Turning back to the menu, I can't help but wish they could add a shot or ten of rum or whiskey to the drinks they offer. Too bad too, I'll need it during this conversations I just know I'm going to have with my ex wife.

After grabbing my coffee and paying for it, I walk to a table in the corner and take a seat.

I barely notice the burning the hot coffee sends down my throat - my mind occupied elsewhere.

I try to relax, but I can't seem to stay still. I blame it on being up since four in the morning and recording for hours after that. Course, one would think I'd be tired after all of that but I'm not.

Twisting the cup around in my hands, I glance over at the opening door and sigh in relief as a little old lady enters and a young couple exits.

Still not her.

I am really hoping this doesn't take long. I want to get back to the studio and stalk visit Les before she leaves for the evening. Course, if I know my ex wife right she'll start in on a long tangent about how slutty and whorish Lesandra is. It's really starting to get irritating when she does that. One of the main reasons why I can't stand meeting with her anymore and what broke us up in the first place.

The door opens again, interrupting my thoughts.

I look over and give a slight nod and wave as I spot her.

She doesn't look happy.

This will be fun. < /sarcasm>
