The holidays were wonderfully spent with family. I hope everyone else had a fun family holiday as well! It was so good seeing Mum and Dad and even John and David; no matter how much of a pain they give me. Dad brought me back a plant from South America! I'm so pleased. It's a Vriesea, and looks a bit like a lone phoenix feather sprouting from a plant right now. I can't wait until it grows more foliage. I also hope Mitts doesn't take to it as a new cat toy as he usually does...

Well, I think after a long day of travelling, it would be good to settle down with a nice cup of tea. Oh! Terry, whenever you're back, I do owe you a cup of tea - See, I didn't forget!

Probably so. Do you think you could help me out with that or should I bring some along?

You're pushing it, Boot. But I'll only agree because I know you're so heart-broken over the loss of that train and I don't want to share your pre-soaked biscuits.

You're too kind, Mandy, really. I'll try to hold back the tears so I don't soak the fresh biscuits.

I do try. Would it be terribly cruel of me to shape them like a train?

Probably so, but since you're making them, I suppose you can do what you'd like!

Who said I could bake? You're getting store-bought biscuits.

I feel cheated. How were you going to shape them into trains then?

Moreso than when you didn't get the train? I dunno; arrange them on the plate in a way that it forms one?

It's a very close call. That seems like a lot of work, though. You really don't have to do that. I suppose there's always next year for a train?

You're right. And I'd totally muck it up as well. Keep wishing!
