Honestly. The most matchmaking of grandmothers and the most gossipy of teenage girls could not rival the Daily Prophet.

In less scandalous news, does anyone have a good grounding in cursed objects? Or at least more than the single inadequate week we had covering the subject in Defense Against the Dark Arts? I'm organizing a charity auction for the Society for Distressed Witches and someone saw fit to donate an antique jewelry box that I am almost certain is cursed. Unless the eery glowing green light it emits is meant to be a feature.

Somebody sent a cursed object to a charity benefit? That is seriously wrong.

My hope is that they simply threw an unattractive, never-used heirloom into the donation pile thoughtlessly. I hope.

At the risk of sounding paranoid or offering a suggestion where it's not my business, you are a rather high profile figure these days. It might be worth it to have the Ministry investigate the matter. Just in case.

I really think this is just a case of a forgetful person with too many ancient family trinkets on their hands. I think my family's cellar is still full of the strangest of objets from my late Uncle Ophion. But your caution is wise and I will certainly heed it.
