Marie woke up. The demon, which was a djinn, is gone. It was Cameron Louis, but he didn't know it. Not sure how that works, but she said we're not going to find his body. I'm listing him officially as the final victim.

Tell your sister the thing's gone. How's she doing? Did her boss fire her?

Her friend's a hunter. Lasko. Him and his brother. They led Marie to Louis and helped us, but she should know to be careful around him.

You can ask Marie to explain it if you want. I don't exactly get it myself, but the fact it's gone is all that matters. There'll be a press conference tomorrow afternoon. But I want the victims to know it's gone before that.

Might get in touch with the ERS. Maybe they can do something for her. I'll have my sister send her the info. She knows a bunch of the lawyers there.

Yeah. Trust me, not happy. But sometimes we have to get information from bastards to catch bigger bastards. I'll let them know I'm watching them and they don't hunt in my city. If they want to help, they can help us.

I somehow think that maybe I'm better off not knowing what the fuck any of that means. You're right, though. Gone is all that matters. I'll get on updating the victims with the information so they don't get blindsided by the situation.

Getting in touch with the ERS sounds like a good plan.
