Who: Lynnie and Tyler
What: Defcon-1. Or, in layman's terms: World War III
When: Thursday night
Where: Shaelyn's apartment/condo
Rating?: Eh. R, mostly, a bit NSFW the last couple of posts.

Furious didn't even come close to cutting it for Shaelyn at that exact moment. There really wasn't currently a word available to describe how mutinously pissed off she was at her boyfriend. How she'd gotten so ticked off so incredibly fast was beyond her, but she knew it had something to do with his insistence on getting married. Married! As if she could even handle taking care of a pet with him, much less 'til death do us part.' The fact was, Lynnie hated Catholic standards. She hated the idea of marriage, despite the fact that she hadn't been lying to him when she'd said that it held a higher meaning. It did. Even in her occasionally warped mind, marriage was a big deal. It was the exact reason she hated it so damn much.

So as she was packing for her trip to Seattle, a trip which she didn't have to make, but was now damn well going to make it just to fuck with Tyler and his asinine attitude, she was fuming. Metallica was blaring on her custom-made CD player, one of her few material possessions that had cost her a fortune. The CD player, not the album. But needless to say, there was just something about 'King Nothing,' that got her blood pumping. She was dying for an all out brawl, but it had been a long time since she'd gone trolling for fights or drugs, so she was restraining herself from that particular urge. Of all the nerve, she thought as she threw one of her stuffed animals into the wall. It landed with a soft thud, and she wanted to pick it up and just rip it apart. And imagine Tyler's face as she did it.

Lynnie was so frustrated and angry that she almost didn't hear the knock at the door. But she'd stepped out of her room long enough to hear the pounding, and for a moment, she hoped it was Tyler so she could throw the first punch. "One fucking minute," she called out before heading back towards her room to shut the door. It muffled the angry music enough and gave her enough time to try and cool her jets, as it were. "Jesus fucking Christ and a half," was the last thing she muttered before walking towards the entrance to her apartment.

They were on a mini stand-off here, staring at one another and while she struggled to get some space between the two of them he just watched her with those blue eyes. He was prepared for her to knee him in the crotch or rack his shin with her sneakers because that shit hurt for real it was pretty damn sensitive. Tyler didn't have anything to say to her what could he say? They had been apart for weeks, in silence then suddenly she comes out of the wood work mentioning wanting to move with him to Key West. What the fuck. Tyler was confused she ignored his texts, she told him - the last thing she said to him was 'bye' when he asked for her to just be open about her feelings about well everything. He didn't feel lie a couple or boyfriend and girlfriend, he felt like she came to him when it was good for her. It may not be the truth but it's what was in his mind and how he felt.

Slowly he let her go and placed his hands on either side of her on the wall and he dropped his head sighing heavily. "You aren't getting the point at all, the only thing you see if your own damn fear. Listen to me for one god damn second. I don't want to anchor you. I want you to be like my anchor it's a metaphor obviously you are too dense to get it. " Sighing he shook his head and just looked down at her chest because well it was the closest thing to his face. "It's like I'm a ship without an anchor. I can't dock. I can't slowly drift without an anchor. I want to have you be apart of me.... to be apart of what keeps me slowly drifting. It isn't meant for me to say I want to hold you down or anchor you to shore. You just aren't getting what I am saying." Slowly he pulled away from her and put his hands on the back of his head fingers laced together.

"Christ woman...I just want to be with you...I don't think you know what I feel. Or that I think about you at random points during my day. You come to mind when I'm alone, or with other people. I think about you all the time. I just want you to be there with me.. I want to be with you." Biting his bottom lip some he gripped his head and just stood there. "God you are a fucking obsession. I want to be yours too." Turning back around he turned toward her and came in close again looking down at her as he spoke in a whisper like it was a secret. "I want to be inside of you, be apart of you, I want to kiss you everywhere. I want to hold you down on the bed, I want to hold you all the time. It angers me to be that consumed."

Shaelyn had never promised him a functional relationship. She'd promised him she had stopped running, that she'd come back for him, but not that she was perfect. For most part, though, his concerns with not seeing her very often lately had more to do with work. Summer season was her highest grossing season as a dive master, and he'd know that. In California, the season started even a little earlier because of the warm weather throughout the year. Although she probably could've made some more effort in trying to see him, but that part, it wasn't about ignoring him.

She almost lunged when he let go -- a sign of weakness, as far as she was concerned. What stopped her, though, was the sigh when he started talking about metaphors and ships and driftwood. "So, you want me to be your anemone." The way she phrased the question wasn't exactly complimentary to him. It implied that he was the clown fish in this scenario. Not that Nemo isn't adorable, of course, but still. The point was, the clown fish was often anchored down, peacefully, to an anemone. That's where it ate, slept, where it was guarded from predators. Fish, Lynnie understood.

Some of the anger had fizzled, but not all, and she rolled her eyes when he told her he wanted to be her obsession. "For someone who's a cop, you sure enjoy having 'feelings' discussion time." It infuriated her, too. A lot of cops were closed off, were slow to trust, slow to talk, but Ty? Oh, he wanted the whole nine yards AND the white picket fence.

And although her heart pounded slightly as she imagined, briefly what being with Tyler would be like, in the end, anger won out over lust, and she shoved him back, laughing harshly. "You had a better chance of that when I couldn't move. So, smart. That's kind of like my rook taking your queen." She opted to walk around him this time, careful not to get too close, lest she punch him. "For the record, since you seem to need a verbal bone thrown to you -- if you weren't a fucking obsession, you wouldn't have made it this far with me. Others have tried and failed miserably. So just because I don't talk in flowers and poems and metaphors for runts and a dog and a picket fence .. doesn't mean I don't think about you."

If everyone had a spirit animal, by God, Shaelyn's would've been a wild horse. You could calm a wild horse, you could even get it to nuzzle you and trust you, but when it came down to it, you could never truly tame them. They either gave their freedom for a trusting hand or kicked the offender and trampled them. Shaelyn was somewhere in the middle.

There was this assumption or stereotype that cops were all assholes without a shred of hope, feeling or desire to be open. Perhaps that was true for some cops but for the most part cops like to communicate, be in control and make decisions. They weren't all pricks that couldn't open up so when she made a crack about him being a cop and liking to discuss his feelings he narrowed his eyes at her and shook his head. "You're stupid. And just don't even know." Actually what Tyler wanted in his mind was for the two of them to live on his boat, float along whenever they had a free chance, be together whenever they could. It wasn't about a house and a fence because honestly a floating white fence would be rather tacky. As a cop he was used to be unstable, to not having things make sense in his line of work, not even the paperwork makes sense, what people do to one another doesn't make sense. Tyler learned early which is how they are training all cops these days to avoid the high suicide rate is that they NEED to talk to someone they love they need to keep their relationships in tack and they need normalcy at home. With Shaelyn nothing was normal with their 'home life' because they didn't have one. Tyler didn't care for all this drama it was hard on him and when he'd go back to work he'd never get a break from it.

"And for the record no I don't want you to be my anemone. I want you to be a constant in my life that's all. I don't think that's me asking for too much, but I understand if you think it is." Sighing heavily he moved back when she shoved him and he couldn't grabbed her but he didn't he let her walk her circles talk her talk and pretend that she wasn't feeling what he was feeling because it made her feel big and powerful over him. "Who said anything about a dog and a fence? I just told you the things I want in my life. None of them included a dog nor a fence." Narrowing his eyes he followed her around the room with that stare and just smirked. "As for me having a better chance with you pinned down I'm sure you would've loved that...let the man make the choice for you rather than you doing it for them." Sometimes when someone was constantly in control they liked to be dominated or controlled or they were exactly the same and just wanted to own someone. Tyler he could fall somewhere in the middle.

Walking up to where she was he finally grabbed her and spun her around to look at him. "I'm done doing this with you, Shaelyn. I'm done and you best be done too 'cause if you aren't I'm going to coax you into being done." With that his free hand came up to hold on the back of her neck with the tips of his fingers as his thumb rested against her cheek and he pulled her face in toward him and he kissed her. Nothing soft or prissy either. This was a real kiss a passionate fire that came out of no where and he held her in it as long as she would allow, it was deep full of every emotion they were going through together, anger, lust, passion, desire, longing and love. It was such a combination that when she pulled away if she did he was breathing like he had just sprinted to the finish line.

Those blue eyes just stared at her now, his chest was moving up and down almost quickly as if he couldn't keep up, but his gaze was intense. She could walk away now or keep fighting or stop. It was up to her.

Now, see. If there was anything that could have hurt Lynnie in all of that, it was the 'no, I don't want you to be my anemone.' But he wouldn't get its significance, just as she wouldn't have gotten the significance of him saying he wanted her to be his anchor. Still, she made no return comment on that until he made his stereotypical 'let the man make the choice rather than you making your own choice,' like she wasn't deliberately moving the pawns on the proverbial chess board. She laughed, shortly, and shook her head. "No one ever said I was a functional human being. No one ever said I do pretty and soft and sweet." She liked violence, she liked fire. It was part of the reason she was drawn to this man. Because he had the capacity for violence. Maybe that was dysfunctional, but it was the cold, hard truth.

She was about to tell him off some more when he brought his hand up to the back of her neck, and she froze. Softness, she didn't do. Or, rarely did. It made her muscles tense, though they relaxed some a few moments later when he kissed her. She could tasted the mixture of emotions in it, and there was a part of her that thrived on the angry, violent side of those emotions the most. Still, as she pulled back, her chest rising and falling with slightly quickened breaths, she sneered at him. "You're such a pretender, Tyler." Quickly, she turned him, throwing all of her strength into him. If he'd been ready for the move, she might not have gotten very far, but she grabbed his shirt within her hands and slammed him up against the wall. Green eyes were blazing with a mix of passion and violence, and as she leaned in and kissed him, her teeth scraped lightly against his lower lip, biting down after a moment. It should have caused some pain, but nothing he wouldn't have recovered from. As she kissed him, there was a hint of self-loathing poured into it, almost as though she couldn't stand the fact that she was so dysfunctional.

Still, she kept kissing him, holding him in place as long as she could. The only problem with this scenario was that as soon as she lifted her head, even with her attempts to drag some air in, she let go of him. Like a hot potato. And turned, fully intending on walking back to her room to finish packing. She was so fire and ice that it was hard to tell which Shaelyn would come out at which point, but both were extremes. He could learn to live with it or leave.

The things was if she couldn't be his anchor he wouldn't be her clown fish, they would have to eventually compromise. The two of them thrived off one another like the leaves on a tree thrived for the sunshine. Neither could really flourish and survive without it. Like he had told her he was done with the back and forth game to see who would end up on top. In the scenario Tyler wanted to be the one on top but he was sure so did she. That could be taken the wrong way of course, top or bottom in that sense in all honesty didn't matter to him. The thing was Tyler knew the softer side of Shae as well he knew her when she was most vulnerable in the middle of the night when they would lay close to one another and she'd hold his hand or kiss him. Those moments were rare and precious like diamonds and he held them in the palm of his hand. Tyler enjoyed her fire lit passion, he knew with how furious she was that she loved him and that the thought of him leaving without her or keeping her away was enough to break that heart of hers that she tried to hard to say she didn't have. Tyler knew better. And she knew that he knew better.

It was probably frustrating for her to know that she gave her heart to a man and he was being so reckless with it, part of him knew she probably wanted him to stick it in his pocket so it was safe and sound, but then the other part of her wanted to hate him for tangling her up in this scary web of emotions. He well he enjoyed having that power over her at times just like she enjoyed holding it over his head. It was completely unexpected when she shoved him into the wall, the wind escaped his lungs so hard that he was looking at her almost as if he wanted to hit her in the face for it, but then their lips were touching and her kiss was hot and angry. His hands had fallen to grab her by the hips pulling her in. Yes there was pain and he winced as he kissed her back.

When she finally pulled away and moved he felt like he was on fire he felt as if she sucked the life out of him, he had to pause to gain his wits and breath before he followed her to her room. With the music blaring in the background he grabbed her and kicked the door shut. Pulling her into him he kissed her again; deep and hard. His hands gripped onto the bottom of her ass and he lifted her up. The music was almost deafening but all he could hear was the sound of her breathing and his own as he laid her down on the bed. Reaching out he shoved her suitcase onto the floor and moved to grab her hands pinning them down above her head, his fingers gripped onto her own tight as he did so.

Brushing his lips up along her chin before he bit her upper lip then slid his tongue slowly into her mouth he began to kiss her again deeper only for a moment before he pulled away and kissed her neck. Fully aware that the two of them were clothed, his hips moved up against her own naturally pressing himself hard against her. He wasn't letting her leave. She was stuck now.

If there was one thing, above all others, that Shaelyn excelled at, it was denial. Denial in its various forms and varieties. She was good at denying things like fear or love. She was excellent at denying that this cop, this tenacious, stubborn, mule of a cop had stolen her heart right out from under her. That infuriated her too, but usually what infuriated her the most wasn't so much that she was afraid to admit things to him as it was .. she didn't want to move as fast as he wanted to pull her. That usually got her to dig her heels in much deeper than necessary.

In any case, when she heard him kick the door shut, she whirled around, angry enough to prepare to give him 'what for,' when he grabbed her and pulled her close. She could hardly think as he kissed her, deep and hard, and she let out a little groan as she leaned into him. Her arms curled around his neck for the brief moment that they could, losing herself in the kiss. Her heart thudded within her chest at a rapid pace, and for a moment, between the deafening music and the deafening feel of blood pumping through her veins, Lynnie was at a loss.

She looked up at him as he pinned her hands above her head, her pulse jumping as she watched him. She closed her eyes, letting him kiss her neck, drowning out the anger for just a moment, drowning out 'Until It Sleeps,' which was a fairly apt song for the current moment, if you thought about it. As he pressed up against her, she struggled with her hands, finally yanking one free from his grasp. But she used it only to slide it underneath his shirt, tugging it upwards as she pressed warm hand against his side, nails raking a light trail as she pulled him closer, if that was even possible. Perhaps it was a battle of wills, who knew. After a moment, she shook her other hand free and moved it to around his neck, pulling him down for another kiss. Harsh and angry, biting and seemingly crackling with the tension that filled the air. She had never given in to this kind of passion with him, but since he'd started the game, she wasn't going to complain about finishing.

Denial in all its forms was what got them here in the first place. Tyler loved honesty he thrived on it perhaps that's why he was a damn good cop he would push and push until he got what he wanted, the truth no matter how ugly it was he would end up getting it. Perhaps a small part of him loved to push her buttons to make her angry even if he wasn't really trying to pull her as far as he wanted to take this. Then in a moment everything changed, like it always does, their lips crushed against one another, their hearts pounding and their breath beating against one another's skin as they lost themselves in that intense thralls of passion. With his hands holding her own down to the bed he loosened his grip to allow her to pull it free. The feeling of her nails racking against his skin caused him to softly groan against her neck.

Moments prior her kiss was like a sting from a bee unexpected, painful then numbing, his body ached for her now more than ever, Tyler swore his heart was going to pound right out of his chest as they pressed so tightly to one another. He had never experienced such passion with another person before, such want and desire, pulsing through each body. Perhaps it was a yearning that brought them here. Before she was able to get her arm around his neck Ty let her other hand go and he reached behind him and pulled his shirt off tossing it to the side. After his shirt was discarded he found himself wrapped in her hard embrace, their lips crushed against one another. His body was crushed against her own now as close as he could get it with their clothing on. He was aching now more than he ever has before. The longer that kiss continued the harder he found it to breath and the more he wanted to finish what he had started.

Biting back at her lips he pulled his head back just an inch and moved his hand up to grab the side of her face his thumb pressed to her chin as he pulled her jaw down just enough to part her lips and he leaned in slipping his tongue slowly into her mouth; tenitively perhaps but once his tongue was inside her mouth he slowly ran it along the roof of it before sucking upon her upper lip. What use were words when everything was being screamed between them right now. His hand moved from her neck over her breast trailing along her side before moving between their bodies where their hips were seemingly joined. He grasped the front of her pants and yanked the button free the force of him doing that made her zipper drag angrily downward. Without warning he shoved his hand down the front of her pants pinning his arm mostly between them as he began to stroke her applying hard pressure. All the while he engaged in that intense fire of a kiss she engaged them in.
