Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry

I've decided that I'm never moving from this couch again. Or at least not for the next couple of days.

Logically speaking, I think I overate on the third roast potato but - in my defense - they were awfull tasty, and I'd do it again.

Theres a pile of presents under the tree, and should your name begin with the letters O, P or M then there is a high likelihood that they are for you.

I'll send them. Once I can move.

 And fasten my skirt again.

You could create an alter ego. How about a spaceman with a fondness for silver lycra?

Or invest in black eyeliner?

Thats sort of the point. Wouldn't it be fantastic? I'm going to have to do it at some point before I become too Responsible. Or wait until I'm over 80.

Not really my thing, and Merton's already got the eyeliner thing down. Wouldn't want to steal his thunder. Besides, I'm already also Rake-Bond, and an irregular murderer. I will eventually wind up confused.

Ohhh. Well, I suppose. You could do it anyway and say you had a bout of madness.

Its a skill of his I envy. I tried eyeliner once, ended up crying for nearly ten minutes after poking my eye repeatedly with it.

You're right, you have a lot of alter egos there. Add them together and you turn into the ultimate Bond Villain - minus the fluffy white cat.

But seven is a good start.

Do you think anyone would fall for that?

He is distressingly good with it.

Seven's much cuter than a white cat.

Possibly. It's worth trying.

Years of practice - I bet he was the only teenage boy with an extensive eyeliner kit.

Well. Yes. But not as evil looking.

Wouldn't shock me.

White cats aren't evil looking. Now, black cats...

White cats are evil.

Try owning one and keeping a pair of black trousers black.

That could be a problem, you're right. But at least they are harbingers of doom.

All black cats need is a tin of tuna and a cuddle.

Doom averted.

I think the world could be solved with tuna and a cuddle.

Why? Feeling like a black cat?

Well I know they supposedly bring good fortune, but I can safely say that every single time I've come across a black cat, something bad has happened within the next twenty-four hours. So I've taken to steering clear whenever possible.

You could wear rose coloured glasses - then there would be pink cats everywhere.

I'm still going with the cuddle hypothesis.

Probably more dark fuchsia.

So you're a cuddler, are you?

Yes.

Well, I'm not the type to chase after people and demand they give me a cuddle, but there is something very satisfying about a decent hug.

I might be considered slightly - and only slightly - tactile.

Why are you not?

Well that's good, that you wouldn't chase someone down, because they might try to get you arrested for harassment.

No. Well, yes, I mean. I am. Very, actually. It's sort of like a bad habit I've had since I was small.

Exactly. And I'm too small to be arrested.

You're a cuddler? I wasn't expecting that

How is it a bad habit? So long as the other person gives informed consent to be a huggee, its all perfectly fine. Oh and both parties observe the Rules of Hugging and if not, then theres always a teddy bear.

You have the potential to be a good hugger - you have the height.

Er, well that wasn't exactly what I meant, but maybe, I guess. It's...more like I just sort of tend to touch things all the time if they're in reach and I don't even notice it? Which I think some people find annoying, and used to get me in horrible trouble when I was younger and would go into shops and touch and pick up everything that I wasn't supposed to.

I didn't know there were Rules, or that height would help.

As in shoplifting?

Oh yes. The rules are as follows:

1) Both parties shall wear deoderant.
2) No sleeveless shirts shall be involved. Ever.
3) Hands stay around the equator - neither straying above or beyond etc.

Height is a great advantage; I much prefer being hugged by someone who has to reach down to hug me. Its the feeling of being enveloped in someones arms that does it, as opposed to reaching across for a mediocre hug.

No...but sometimes I'd drop something and break it, or else there'd be "PLEASE, DON'T TOUCH" sorts of signs that I couldn't help but ignore. I don't know, I'd find it annoying if I weren't...me.

Those rules seem quite wise. And I suppose I see what you mean about the height thing, but I'd have to find a giant if I were to feel the same way.

Oh. Ouch. Not good. Lots of breakages means very little pocket money.

They're born out of necessity. And a lot of trial and error.

Well, how about find someone to hug whos smaller than you me and then ask if they'd be so kind as to hug you from a stepladder. Or a taller step.

You seem to have an answer for every dilemma. Would be weird to hug someone standing on a ladder, though.

Fine. You hug me, and I'll stand on the nearest orange crate to hug you.

It's odd. This is the first time I've felt as though someone is challenging me to a hug. But where would we find an orange crate?

It is. I cry myself to sleep often. Whilst reading impossibly large books, of course.

Not everything with me is a challenge. Really.

It depends ; orange as in the colour orange could probably be found outside of Chudley Stadium. I'm pretty sure even the toilet paper in that place is that sickening colour. But as for oranges orange, hrmm. A greengrocers?

An Orangery? Ask an orangatan
