Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Its started to happen; this morning there were four empty seats at the meeting. Four co-workers who have either gone to the Ministry or, well. I don't know where they could have gone.
Most people didn't even notice until they required a file but I did.  Her name was Carrah and she was a few years older than me ; on my first day she showed me where to hide the coffee.
Its been a week since she showed up to work and her desk has been cleared of all belongings. Its as though she never existed in the first place

How can they forget so easily ? How can they let themselves forget? It..it doesn't make any sense.

Distract me from the perils of Advanced Germanic Wards? What is the ideal combination of bacon, egg, roll and lorne sausage? Does it include tattie scones? Black pudding? Brown or red sauce?

I find myself unable to decide. Is there a formula for working out the perfect combination?

I think we should do some practical research on this, Pen. Let out taste buds tell us.

I like how you think.

Want to come over for Sunday breakfast? We can order in, or make Ol cook us breakfast in return for some bacon rolls?

Oh, making Oliver cook! I like this plan!

Think we could persuade him to wear a pinny? A fluffy lacey apron? The image..works in my head.

Try? Please, between the two of us? He's toast.

Not that it's a particular challenge to do so, but this has made me very hungry.

You seem to be in a perpetual state of hunger. Would your ideal breakfast roll include spam fritter?

Look at me, I'm skin and bones!

But seriously, I think I was drunk when I decided Spam was a culinary masterpiece. So...not likely. But maybe.

That would explain the constant hunger! You're right, you do need to eat more.

You could try it sober. Its better that way, I'm told and I'm not talking about just spam. Someone has to champion spam.

I suppose I should. I'll start making the heraldic flag this afternoon.

Whats the motto going to be? Edere Spam ?

Would you like a hand? Paint? Canvas?

Private to Orsino

Orsino and a flag? Sounds like an experiment to me...

Who knows? Perhaps all three. It's been a while since I've taken to arts and crafts.

Private to Penny

...does it now?

You could always make the canvas out of spam. That way if you ever got hungry during a campaign, you could munch the evidence. Or if you ever got caught.

Private to Orsino

Hrmm. What do you think? Experiment or arts and crafts moment?

That might smell bad after a while. I am hoping that my artwork has a bit more staying power.

Private to Penny

Or, to go really wild, both even.

Private to Penny

I had an inkling you might.

Not very nice? I'm perfectly pleasant in every manner, thankyouvery much.

Oh? You should try it again to make sure. Fortescue's might even have spam ice cream..

Private to Orsino

Very perceptive of you.

Wards are your friends. Love them. Cherish them. Kick them until they submit.

All of the above options for food are incorrect. The correct answer is cold pizza followed by an orange beverage of some sort. Possibly tea.

Wards are the reason I can treat friends to fry up experiment Missy. But I like the idea of kicking them. It has its appeal.

...

I worry about you Pat. I really do. Do you have some form of vendetta against vegetables?

Kicks are always effective but I feel stomps are more satisfying.

Pizza has been known to have vegetables! Not any that I have had but I have hear rumors of such a thing.

Drop kicks! Wear protection, that one can backfire on you.

Not a chance. I make sure to eat plenty of crisps to keep my systems in working order.
