Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
At work today I :

  • Took a large mouthful of a cup of tea only to realise  the milk was several weeks off.
  • Had to swallow the tea so as not to offend the little old lady.
  • Was used as a climbing frame by one of the cats from hell
  • Tripped over one of the aforementioned cats and banged my chin on the  sideboard, lost my footing and fell awkwardly on the floor.
  • Had to hobble home.
I now have; scratches on my thighs where the claws dug in, a bruise forming under my chin and a sprained ankle. It is what is known as a bad day.

So now I am not going into work tomorrow,  am painting my toenails for when I go to St Mungos tomorrow  and sitting on the couch with a tub of ice cream, flaky chocolates and my book of choice.

I am not getting out of my Falcons strip for anything. This is a Duvet Day.

Please don't. Really, please.

And the masculine form of dominatrix would be dominus/dominator - lit. Master which is where we get the term 'domestic' and 'domicilliary' - domus meaning house/household/abode.

I'm going to go back to ignoring you and Mr Tremlett now.

I really, really don't like you calling me Mr. Tremlett.

Its a sign of respect! Would you prefer I called you something else?

No, I'm pretty sure that you call me that to make me pout. My name is Don. Should be easy to remember. It's just three letters long.

You've caught me. You do pout rather impressively.

Hello Don. My name's Penelope. But you can call me Miss Clearwater

I am so not calling you that. How about Mrs. Thrusty instead?

No? But it's such a nice name. And it has such a lovely ring to it.

The more you keep talking, the less inclined I am to keep dating Osino.

Not that I'd actually break up with him

I don't think so. I don't think you are the type to break-up with someone just because of something a friend of theirs is saying. And if you are, well...

No. You're perfectly right.

[ Don ]

I wouldn't break up with him because of his friends - as much as it pains me to admit it, you're actually rather charmingly funny. And my friends have their own foibles.

But Orsino is simply lovely - he's sweet, charming, intelligent, adorable, a gentleman and I like spending time with him. I'm aware of how lucky I am to be dating him. Every day.

That's good to know. You seem like a good match for Orsino and it'd be sad if I'd over estimated you. Now I just need to meet you face to face... And if you keep talking like that I might just blush.

I'm sure that he feels the same way though I won't begin to guess how he thinks of you.

I'd be sad if you over-estimated me as well. Especially if it meant hurting him, which I never want to do.

I'm sorry but meeting me isn't on the cards.

Hrmmm you're right. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I want to go and track down my wonderful, incredible boyfriend and kiss him until his ears blush.

Oh and I'll deny this conversation ever happened.

You know you can't hide from me forever. Or the rest of the Weird Sisters. We're his friends and girlfriends and the like always meet us eventually. So you ought to get at least me out of the way with just you and Orsino around or I can wait until we're in a group setting...

You have fun doing that.

Somehow I'm not shocked.
