Sirius was pouting. He didn't like shopping and Evans was making him go get books and things he didn't want to purchase. Normally he'd owl in an order and be done with it. But nom not with her. This was cruel and unusual punishment, for which he likely deserved. He let out a long sigh as he stared around Diagon Alley. Maybe he could run away? No, Lily wouldn't like that and she was good at snogging and he liked snogging her so he stayed put.

"Evans, I'm bored. Can we go now? Please?" Sirius pleaded with her. He wanted to be back at the castle hiding in his room; not shopping. Anything but shopping.

Lily had noticed Sirius' sulking like a bratty boy straight away, which was why now, at least an hour and half into the venture, she continued to take her sweet time. "Did you get your books yet?" glancing down at the bags she was carrying from the various shops Lily looked back at the list in her free hand, puffing out a sigh before she leisurely strolled towards the next stop. Trying not to smirk too obviously at Sirius' torment.

"I could have ordered them and be done with it by now. We didn't have to do this, y'know. Civilized people do that. I want to go. I don't want to buy books. Or quills. I don't want to go to school." Sirius huffed, crossing his arms as he walked. It was lucky she was so pretty and adorable and all those other things. Otherwise he'd be gone. "Can't we take a break?"

	Sirius grinned and dragged her to Florean Fortescue's ice cream parlor. "Ice cream break! Always helps. Sort of. I hate shopping. Eat slow," he said and went inside the famous shop. Lily got herself a cone and smiled as Sirius helped himself to a bowl that looked like it could feed a family of five for a month. Sitting beside him at a little table she licked her cone and watched him feast bemusedly. "If you're so bored with Diagon Alley I've got to return to my parent's for a few things." She paused, smiling wryly she lifted a brow, "you could meet my Mum and Dad."

	Sirius practically choked after her final statement. "No, I do not meet parents." It was true. He had never met the parents of any girl he dated, snogged, or shagged. Lily said nothing in response, and suddenly she didn't want her ice cream at all anymore. She didn't understand what the big deal was about stopping by the house really quickly, but upon more thought, she wasn't entirely sure she understood anything about what might've been happening between her and Sirius. After a minute or two of saying nothing she finally spoke up, "Am I just a friend to you Sirius?"

	Sirius contemplated her question. He didn't think so, not entirely. Well, yes. First and foremost she was a friend. But he was snogging her exclusively. That was something. 	Placing the ice cream cone neatly on a napkin she looked at Sirius and sighed, considering his words. This was all new territory, and despite the fact that he could be completely terrible, Sirius was actually quite wonderful. “Would you be angry if I snogged other boys?” she asked the question carefully, as if trying to get a feel for the whole situation. "Hm. Alright then," her tone was casual as she shrugged, and looked down, idly going through one of the bags she'd picked up. She figured it was a reasonable way to assess the situation she'd found herself in, if he minded, then he cared, and if he didn't - then they were friends who snogged. Or maybe had snogged but wouldn't be snogging anymore? Lily wasn't sure if her assessment had helped her understand anything.

Too late, she was mad, and it showed. Even her hair looked a bit brighter as she glared at him. "I just wanted to know," she began slowly, each word dripping with venom, "how much I ought to hex you if I caught you snogging other girls." The anger dissolved, seemingly out of thin air and she sighed, frowning and looking down at his ice cream, "I hope I don't though, whatever that might mean."
