Josephine Dorny, Public Relations Coordinator for the Ministry, wants to meet you. I may have shown her that journal entry you did a few weeks back, and like I thought, she recognises you could be writing more like it. So get in touch with her, set up a meeting, so your name will be in the Prophet already. It's about time.

[Private to Marc]
Mate, how's your dad doing?

Alright. He's still healing, but he's okay.

Never mind that Claudio got hexed by a protestor this weekend. Exactly why wands need to be taken away.

He stayed at the Muggle hospital in the end?

Bloody hell, seriously? Hexed badly? I know the Aurors and MAB have had a hell of a job bringing everyone in and sorting out who were hexing people and who were just caught up in it, but they haven't done anything to help their case. We're just submitting a revised version of the ST Wand Removal Act to the Wizengamot, and this one will definitely go through now.

Yes. You wouldn't believe the arguments we got in over it.

Just his arm, and already well healed. But still—it's fucking bullshit, Robbie.

I'm glad. If I'm not worrying about my dad being a stubborn idiot, I've got STs firing at my brother in Diagon.

Shit, mate, I can understand that. My dad'll never set foot in the wizarding world again, but I'd go spare if he got hurt and wouldn't let me take him to Mungo's.

Your brother's got a difficult job, but unfortunately, we need blokes like him doing it. Glad he's alright.

Don't envy you, that's for sure. But we're working on it all, Marc. The Minister is doing all he can to prevent this crap from happening in future, and to properly punish those that do make it happen. Politics are a bloody minefield though.

I know. And I get where he's coming from, too, but it still doesn't mean it doesn't worry me. But, at least he wasn't around Diagon when all that crap was going on.

I know, and I'm glad he's okay and was there taking care of other people.

I know, and I'm glad to know people like you are working on it. I can't imagine what you're going through, but I know you're doing the best you can.

Wait? What? Why would you do tha Really?

Honestly truly? Wow.

I owe you for this Robbie. It's unexpected but definitely not unwelcome. I'll owe Ms. Dorny this afternoon and whatever you need, it's yours.

Wow

You're welcome. And yeah, course I did. Said I would. Josephine's a good lass, she'll be doing more for you than I've done. But I do make good connections, don't I?

You could thank me by joining me for coffee one of the days this week? Or promising to never publish a rubbish picture of me?

You've done much more than I could ever have anticipated. Regardless of your connections you're also quite fun to hang around with. Double whammy.

Only if you split one of those cream cakes with me? But it would be a pleasure to join you. I can't promise never to publish a rubbish picture of you though. If one crosses my desk of you dancing in your underwear the temptation would be too great to ignore...

It was no trouble. I am fun to hang around with, no quite about it, Miss Vane.

Cream cakes are loaded with sugar and calories Alright, sure. Got any lunch hours free this week? Dancing in my underwear?! Such a photograph doesn't exist anyway. I don't think.

Oh I don't know Mr Stebbins. Fun is such an all encompassing word and I don't ever recall you dancing on tabletops. Now that would be fun.

Live dangerously Robbie. Splitting the calories means you don't have to worry about keeping those suits fitting so well. Divide something enough and it becomes zero. I'm free Thursday and Friday afternoon after an early lunch meeting with the Editors.

Darling Robbie, I would pay to see those pictures, should they exist.

Back at Hogwarts, we Hufflepuffs threw the best parties. I may have danced on a table top or two then. That's off the record though!

Your maths are hard to argue with, Romilda, you've convinced me. And anyway, what else is the gym for if not to work off shared cakes? Thursday then? Cafe on Diagon?

If any ever came to light, I'd definitely charge you. Then burn them and deny their existence.

Did you now? And are you breaking my black, shrivelled little heart by not telling me or more importantly inviting me? Since we're speaking off the record, do you still practice those moves? Do you have any moves left?

Is that what the gyms for? I thought it was a place for Romilda to ogle sweaty, toned men and pretend to read magazines? You learn something new everyday.

Thursday is perfect. 1pm?

Oh but the damage would be done Mr. Stebbins. Once seen, I'm sure the sight of you dancing in your underwear will last longer than it takes for you to burn those pictures.

I'd make copies first

Well, you would have only been a little first year. And black shrivelled heart, Rom? I highly doubt it. Off the record... I don't think I've been to a party in years.

Reading magazines in the gym? You're definitely not doing it right. When do you get to do any exercise then?

One is great.

Copies? And there's me thinking we were friends! Aren't any pictures out there like that anyway, thankfully, but you're right, the sight would last forever.

I forget how much older than me you are, though I must say Robert you're holding up remarkably well for someone of your advancing years. And don't delude yourself Robbie, my hearts like a tiny prune as I cut swathes through men I use, abuse and discard like toys. Most of our conversations are off the record but you need to get a social life. All work and no play makes Robbie a dull boy.
Dull, dull dull.

I run and do pilates. Keeps me in great shape for the fifty yard dash in the sales and running and pilates can be done early in the morning so I don't need to worry about my hair in the morning. How often do you go gym-buddy?

We're friends! If we weren't then those hypothetical photos would be my Holiday greeting cards. You know, all this talk about these photos has mad me realise one thing.
It's a darn shame they don't exist. I'd have liked to have seen th
