Merlin. [...] I think I'll stay where it's cool.

I don't like sitting out when you all go and help the Remuses during his monthly transformation. I know my magical ability pales in comparison to yours, but I'd really like to learn how to become an animagus as well so I can be there if someone wouldn't mind helping me learn.

I do, don't I. Unfortunately, being an animagus takes some studying. More studying than I ever did for any schoolwork, in fact. You probably won't have to do as much as we did, since you've got all of us to help you through it, so consider yourself lucky. Even if you do, though, it's worth the effort.

I think some of our Harrys, and Hannah, might want to learn as well-- I can't imagine I haven't at least started teaching my Harry by his time-- so maybe we can make a thing of it, yeah? Marauder-family animagus lessons?

After all those years it's little wonder he rubbed off on you. No worries; I'm no stranger to studying. While I've more experience with learning by example, books aren't too bad. [...] Apparently Lily's been rubbing off on me more than I realized.

I think that sounds like a good idea. Family bonding time?

Right? Surprisingly, Remus was the first one to ever get me to study properly, for this animagus business. And he doesn't even have Lily's wicked female powers of persuasion. I think maybe he and I were always meant to be a little bit married, too.

Sounds good to me. Aside from taking the occasional hike into the desert, I've nothing much to do in this world, so we can get started whenever you like.

It doesn't surprise me that it was Remus that strong-armed you into studying. My Remus had a good way of guilt-tripping you into studying; I still haven't figured out if it was intentional or not.

I'm sticking as close to the compound as I can, so I'll be around whenever.

Oh, he didn't strong-arm me into this one. No, he was the one who had to be dragged kicking and screaming into the idea of us joining him on the full moon. But he did guilt-trip me a few times as well.

I'll come find you this afternoon, then.
