Flower Power. Greetings, fellow blossoms! [...]

You probably noticed it by now, but the flower petals scream if you step on them. Bloody hell, make it stop.

[ Warded to Jamessquib ]

I need your help. Can you help me out with something?

[ Warded to the TonksesTHG ]

You were right. They will never understand. Never.

Yeah, of course! What is it?

I saw something in a book in the library and I want to know how to do i since I heard Jameses were supposedly ace at wandwork and I am decidedly not.

What was it you wanted to try? I am ace at wandwork, even if it's something I've never done before I'll probably pick it up pretty quick. As will you, just like you did with a broom. We're naturals, mate.

I think you'll know how to do this one: I want to turn a mouse into a matchstick if you think Petunia won't get mad at me. I owe you won for not laughing too hard when I fell promptly on my arse as soon as I got on.

Oh, yes, I know how to do that. There are plenty of things that can be turned into matchsticks, if it's the mice you're worried about.

Ha, well. I'd never actually seen a Potter fall off a broom before, so I think that about covers the debt between us. Now I've seen the impossible, yeah?

Shuffling works pretty well to avoid stepping on them.

Are the screams bothering you?

They aren't my favourite thing, no.

It leaves tracks, yes. But there are strict non-violence rules in this place.

Poseidon & this Padsy

Far be it from me to usually accuse a James of understatement, but that sounds a bit like it. Padsy could use company if you'd like. It's hard to run with the petals, but we can always find ways to have fun.

Even the strictest rules have loopholes.

Poseidon | This Padsy

You called my bluff. I'd almost forgotten how good Sirius was at doing that. Company actually sounds really nice about now. What's there to do around here?

You could always pick them up as you go and scatter them behind you, to avoid leaving a trail.

That would be the obvious solution, but I'd also set a false trail to be on the safe side.

I do not believe that flower petals are sentient. I doubt they are actually in pain.

A trick, perhaps. There are many such tricks that a creative gamemaker can come up with.

Theodore Nott, Games World. And you are?

I've been trying to puzzle out their true purpose. If they're intended to remind me of past kills then they are doing their job.

James Potter, also from the Games World. Any relation to Tewdric Nott?

I almost think I would rather that, but then I suppose the whole 'be careful what you wish for' adage applies.

Those screams are terrifying, though, and I usually adore flowers. They frightened all my mice away!
