Flower Power. Greetings, fellow blossoms! [...]

You probably noticed it by now, but the flower petals scream if you step on them. Bloody hell, make it stop.

I need your help. Can you help me out with something?

[ Warded to the TonksesTHG ]

You were right. They will never understand. Never.

A trick, perhaps. There are many such tricks that a creative gamemaker can come up with.

Theodore Nott, Games World. And you are?

I've been trying to puzzle out their true purpose. If they're intended to remind me of past kills then they are doing their job.

James Potter, also from the Games World. Any relation to Tewdric Nott?

Pansy Parkinson, also of the Games World. I know knew know your son.

Hello, Pansy. I have a son like the others. Who's his mother?

Lily Potter. I've known some to question paternity, but questioning maternity is an odd case. Oh [...] are you from before [...] what year are you from?

Well. I did get the girl after all. [...] I was on my way to collect her when I arrived here.

If you say so. [...] That is unfortunate, you arriving here. Perhaps you will be content to know you live a fortunate life in District 2.

What is that supposed to mean? There is no such thing as fortunate in District 2.

Your son didn't die in the arena. I would consider that fortunate.

Perhaps for those of us who have killed, yes. I am not sure everyone here has taken a life.

You were in the games in 1976. Yes, I am his son.

Most of the people here are blessedly unfamiliar with that particular task.

Yes, that's correct. The year of the industrial arena. What year are you from?

In combination with the flower greeting we have been using, I believe the lesson may be to teach us to sympathize with even the smallest living things around us. We are all blossoms, and the petals seem to be able to feel pain.

1997. I was reaped with Pansy Parkinson, whom you've just met.

And to remind us that even though we come from different worlds, we are all human and have feelings. I think I just threw up a little. That sounds like something one of the citizens from the capitol would say.

Ah, I see. One of the boy's from Nym's games appeared as well.

[...] I'm not sure I see the connection there, but I suppose they may intend that as well. They certainly are [...] sentimentally flowery, here.

Which boy? I don't see him on the pamphlet, however, you and Pansy and I do not seem to be on there yet either. I wonder how far out of date it is.

I'm taking a gamekeeper's Scientist's point of view. Our clothes are a prime example about how flowery they are here.

Gawain Robards. It appears that it is a bit outdated, yes. I've been here a week.

They are quite different from the gamemakers back home. Or at least that is how it seems, so far.

The name sounds vaguely familiar. The victor's names tend to be the most easily remembered, I suppose.
