It's been so lovely out this week, such an improvement over the past week, apparating in the rain has not been enjoyable.

I was sorry to hear I'd missed you and the kids by so narrow a margin at Hengist Day. I sent Percy, Oliver and Tim home for lunch and belatedly realised they would probably interpret that as, "Go to Penelope's flat and try to use the telephone to order take-away." Or fellytone. Once, they ordered twelve pizzas because they thought they came by the slice and then tried to pay the delivery boy with sickles. The police were called. It was a nightmare.

I can't apologise enough for telling some people that bit of Witch Weekly gossip was true. I never read it, myself, and had no idea what they were talking about. If there's anything I can do to make it up to you, just let me know.

As it is for most small children, the lure of free ice cream is too great for me to resist. If I see you at Fortescue's on Sunday, I'll be sure to say hello.

It isn't their business, except in the "making money off sensationalism" sense of the word, and neither you nor Bill deserve to be dragged through the mud like that. I realise it sounds a bit insulting to say "I would never sleep with your husband" or "saying you're not human is terrible" because that would imply you don't already know those things, and of course you know both better than anyone. Nevertheless, I feel like it's necessary in this situation.
