I'm just a little bit -- sad? Would that be a correct emotion for old codger Barty? Did he have no friends at all who would know and mourn his passing in time? It is hard to believe, in a way.

When you're as powerful as Barty, true friends are few and far between. He knew that from the start. Pity he died, he was a good man. For a politician. You can be sad; I know I am.

I'm sure whoever replaces Crouch will be keen to weed out anyone they think would be a potential risk. Don't make their job easy.
