Alright ladies and gents! Things have been WAAAAY too quiet around here lately. I definitely think it's time we start thinking about the important things in life, such as relationships. I have been lax on my matchmaking duties as of late, so I'm remedying that right now!

So! It's time for Viola's Corner. This is the portion of your journal reading where you can ask/tell me ANYTHING. Relationship advice/questions, matchmaking wishlists, gossip, advice in general, ANYTHING. All comments will be screened (unless you state otherwise and don't care) since this is an open forum and I am not in the business of spreading other people's personal issues around.

With that being said, let's fire away! I'm bored, I'm ready, so hit me with your best shot!

OOC Note: For fun, we're gonna pretend the comments are screened. So unless someone states otherwise, all comments and Viola's answers can only be seen by her and the original poster. :)

Do you think a cross-species relationship is destined to fail or work; does a persons personality have any weighing or does royal societies expectations doom the relationship?

Well, considering I myself am involved in the same scenario, I'd have to go with the latter. Like any relationship, it depends on the people and effort they put in whether it will work or not, but species has no bearing on compatibility. It all depends on emotions, effort, and what both people are willing to put into it that counts.

Of course society does put added pressure on things, and I above others understand this considering my predicament, so I suppose in addition to all that you also must consider what you're willing to sacrifice to make it work. Basically, how badly do you want it?

Fair enough, thank Viola :)

Is it considered bad if I don't know if its worth everything I could give up because its so new? But that I know it has the potential of being worth everything? Does that even make sense?

It's not bad exactly, though I'm sure the person might have some hurt feelings if they found that out. In my opinion, though, when things are new it's okay not to want to put everything into one basket just yet. The fact that you know it has the potential to get there is a good sign, though. And you should always follow your instincts with that.
