[Warded to Lucius & Regulus & Severus & Inner Circle]

I need the two of you at my home in the Woodlands directly.

Evan Rosier was killed by an Auror earlier this evening. The Auror was captured and revenge dealt by our lord. After discussion with his father, we have come to the conclusion that this death, although a severe blow to each of us, may be used to further the Dark Lord's goals.

You will both select a pub that Muggleborns are likely to frequent. Regulus, you will use polyjuice, which Severus will provide you with, to ensure that Evan is seen at the pub in question. Lucius you will use the imperius to ensure that a Muggleborn is seen bothering Evan.

Evan's body will be left in a place near-by and the Muggleborn will be imperiused to confess to the death. Are there any questions?

So far as any of our number are concerned this is the way that he died. Is that understood?

[Warded to the Inner Circle]
Evan Rosier is dead. He died at the hands of a Muggle loving Auror, as a soldier to the Dark Lord's cause and his father has every right to be proud of him.

In addition, we captured Dorcas Meadowes. The Dark Lord tortured her, and questioned her. And we now have a full list of vigilantes.

Forgive me for being a touch more pragmatic but perhaps it would be simply easier to strike where we can, irrespective of age or experience. It stops a pattern from forming. True, it is likely to force those who remain even further down into whatever boltholes they possess but that can work for us as well. Vermin do tend to huddle in a mass when frightened.

There is also the consideration of using this knowledge the Dark Lord has discovered, especially in terms of those among the DMLE. We know who they are. In any future attacks, we may be able to plant evidence that points to them. It could muddy the waters very nicely.

Also, we should consider letting the knowledge of the existence of an unknown vigilante group become public via the media. The suggestion could be made of the curious fact that this vigilante group has been active during the time of all these terrible attacks and that perhaps the two are connected. This would turn the DMLE's attention towards the vigilantes and away from us thus creating difficulties for Longbottom, Podmore, Bones and Moody. They either investigate their own and attempt to muddy the waters, potentially drawing the attention of unaffliated members or they risk being discovered and prosecuted.

At least two of their number work at the library. I am going to push forward my research for my next book and spend some time at the library to see if I cannot uncover any information. Usually the right push on a young and silly library clerk and you can get access to any information you might need.

I also agree with the others - those that are in the DMLE particularly. Although there is likely something to be said for keeping them within the DMLE and restricted by the protocols thereof. If they were to become lone agents they might be even more problematic. Although - I certainly would not be sad to see the DMLE investigating the other vigilantes. I do not suppose we could pin some crime on them?
