010; 10 October 1979.
My deepest sympathies to the Avery family. I hope the DMLE will be able to find their daughter and son-in-law. I have two daughters of my own and know that if either of them were missing I would leave no stone unturned in pursuit of their safe return.
The entire situation is disturbing. Considering Mr Avery's dedication to the Ministry, I am certain that the DMLE must have had incontrovertible evidence his son was a confirmed Death Eater although the article listed none. It is certainly a terrible situation for all involved and the family is in my thoughts.
[Warded to Regulus]
Regulus Black I expect to see you at my manor tomorrow afternoon.
They gave none of the evidence for why they considered him a Death Eater, only that he was one. Granted the boy could not have been allowed to speak or he would have confirmed their accusation, but we know he did not, so their 'evidence' is as flimsy as their informant, and considering one if not both of their possible informants have disappeared, they can have little that would hold up in front of the Wizengamot. If I were Xavier, I think I would give serious thought to hiring lawyers and get his son's name cleared posthumously. Such a ruling from the Wizengamot would undermine the DMLE and throw question back onto how he was able to be killed while in DMLE custody - perhaps even make it look as if it were a vengeful killing by someone antagonized by Xavier, or even worse that the DMLE allowed it so that it could look as if they had captured a Death Eater. Most outcomes there would be favourable and the death ought to serve the Dark Lord in some way - which at the moment, it most certainly does not.
And Scandinavia. That most certainly can be done. I find time spent with her relaxing. I did not once think upon the situation with the Avery'sor my lack of an heirthe entire afternoon. She is poised, beautiful, educated, and clearly interested.
I think I shall stop by the shops before I return to Hertfordshire.
