Oh, right, yes.

My father has been hounding me about 'solidifying House Nott' by finding a lady to marry. I am not interested in the endeavor, however he is going to keep prodding me ~~and poking into my work~~ until I appease him. No doubt, as new head of House Parkinson you may be under similar pressure. I thought that we may 'kill two birds with one stone' as they say, and engage in a false relationship to dissuade our families from pushing us into thing we do not wish to do.

Of course you can say no. That would be a more than reasonable, and honestly, expected response. I had only thought it would be worth discussion.

Yes, my family is also breathing down my neck about finding a Lord to marry, and it's becoming increasingly difficult to refuse my mother anything since father died, if anything, his death has only strengthened her resolve. I'm fucking aware, Pansy. You know what else I'm aware of? My family has been a target of House Black and now we're someone else's target. If they're not killing in our name -- then they're trying to kill my family in someone else's.

It wouldn't surprise me if this was used to dissolve our House altogether.

They're doing it to create unrest and chaos. They want people to turn on each other, so that they're distracted. It's a sleight of hand.

The question is, why was Sirius so eager to give into these demands when he refused every other time? Where are his Gryffindor principles now? It doesn't feel right. Either he's in on it, he's bewitched, or he's planning something fucking awful in retaliation. What pisses me off, is that he knows more than he's letting on, but won't tell the DMLE fuck all.

Unrest and chaos is precisely what is being accomplished. People are dead. And more are to come, no matter what Sirius does. Or maybe because of what he does...we've been losing in this kingdom for decades and it's only gotten worse.

If there is one thing about Sirius you should know -- his principles are always there. However strange and twisted we might find them. Regardless. As for his plans? Yes. He is a Black -- of course it's retaliation. Revenge is something built into their DNA.
