Of course he wouldn't just give you her, Potter. You have to find her. Think. If you were hiding the redhead, where would she be? Of course she'd be in the library, but that would be too obvious. That's not his style. He wants to make you sweat, and Merlin, I'm in my best suit, that bastard. Was. I have no idea what this garb is, but it's not from the Capitol, that's for certain.

Oh, did I mention that there are multiple versions of Lily here? As if things weren't twisted enough already, he puts copies of her out there and ages them differently. Bloody fanfuckingtastic.

Or. You know. He could have not done any of the above to make me paranoid. He's not above doing that either. I guess I better get started. Where the fuck is Snape when I need him?

My names is James Charlus Potter, the winner of the 1976 Healy Game. I am currently seeking a Miss Lily Evans. If you have any information as to her whereabouts it will be in your best interest to tell me now.

"Alternate-dad?" I have a son? Blimey. Er. Nice to meet you.

She's here somewhere. Healy has a tendency of dangling things in front of your nose and then hiding him. I won her, dammit. I'll find her eventually.

Hold on, I'm sorry to interrupt - what do you mean won her?

He was awarded the woman he loved by playing Healy's game.

Happiness - I think everyone deserves the right to be given that, but people are not prizes. He does not get to be given a woman. We are not things that can be exchanged for a job well done! On behalf of that poor Lily Evans who isn't here, I am livid.

[ Anger flares in Ted's eyes and he wrings his hands together; an attempt to keep calm ]

Right, well you take that matter up with President Healy. You see how it feels to have everyone you love murdered because you want to choose who you love or how to be happy. That poor Lily Evans was spared hell in the arena. It very likely could have been her encouragement that James played Healy's game and was awarded her.

Listen to Ted. I won you, Lily, just like my father was awarded my mother for his work for the president.

You listen to me, Potter, you're not in your world any more and people here are FREE. You do not get to WIN a LILY EVANS. We are not some sort of fucking spot prize!

Yeah, but their Healy's idea of winning is to kill a bunch of other people. Why shouldn't he think people could be awarded as prizes, too?

If they loved each other and got to be together in that world, especially after having to go through the Games, then [...] that's something.

It doesn't sound like he views her as a person rather than a piece of meat. If he loves her, brilliant, but it isn't coming across that way.

And people from my world did?! I'm sorry for the horrors of your reality, I truly am, but to refer to someone as a possession? People have feelings and I don't think the Lily from your world would like hearing herself referred to as that.

I think so? I haven't heard whether I exist in your world or not, but you and my mum both do and you're [...] together? So there's a good chance that I do. Or will, rather.

[Harry turns on the camera and smiles a little sheepishly, waving at his alternate-dad.] Hi.

No. I was just on my way to collect Lily when I wound up here. I swear on my wand if I don't find her I am going to have some words with the scientists. After all that work and I get here of all bloody places.

I'm sorry. [...] You do love her, right? It's not what Lily and Hermione think, is it? I mean. Um. I just want you and mum to be happy, whatever world you're in.

[Harry shrugs, and then smiles again] I do, yeah. I look like you, except for the eyes.
