There were days -- like this one -- where Izzie had moments where she wasn't sure if this job was worth it. Sure, they were saving lives and helping people, but sometimes the politics and the attitudes got to be a bit too much.

Or maybe that was all just her mood. Getting stuck doing scud all day hadn't exactly been in her plans when she'd woken up this morning and while she KIND OF understood what had pissed off Bailey, Izzie wasn't sure it had all been entirely her fault. George had been there too and besides, who the hell expected a patient to lie about their symptoms?

If the woman had told the truth in the first damned place, they'd have diagnosed the syphilis much faster and saved hours of tests. And maybe she'd be in the damned OR now instead of flopping down onto the guerney next to Meredith.

"I NEED to get into a surgery, today," she said, taking a long drink of coffee as she did. "I don't even care if it's an appendectomy as long as I'm in the OR."

She glanced now at Meredith again, raising an eyebrow at Cristina as she did. "Okay. Now what?"
