Things are finally getting a bit more normal. It is nice to go for walk in the afternoons without worry that something will happen. Evan's birthday was lovely, and we did have a very good time, the children were quite hyper, though that is expected with the amount of cake and sugar they ate. I am pleased everything went so well.

It seems that the Weekly was exceptionally difficult this week, though I suppose I should be pleased that our family was not discussed.

Bills brought up China a few times recently and I'm just not sure what to think about the situation. I wanted him to go, a I know he's been feeling restless at home, but I always thought it would be the five of us. It would be an adventure for all of us. I just can't imagine spending so much time without him.
What if he just doesn't come back to me?

I am thinking Easter is almost as bad as Halloween for children. Still, they were surprisingly behaved after racing around the garden trying to find the most eggs. Dominique somehow managed to get Louis covered completely in chocolate, and I'm still not certain how she managed to get footprints on the ceiling, but that did not stop Bill from showing them off all afternoon. It was quite enjoyable, never the less.

I am quite glad for the weekend. The past week has been so lovely, it reminds me why I love the British countryside. Bill's outside at the moment preparing the bbq, and I'm pleased that the weather is holding up well enough that I am thinking it should make for a very lovely afternoon.

Victoire has decided to give up broccoli for lent. I've tried explaining to her how it doesn't quite work that way, but she was having any of it. I do sometimes think I give in far too easy, though what can one do against that little face? I'm sure we'll find plenty of other vegetables for her to eat over the next forty days.
Dominique's perfectly behaved, as usual though she did want to know why she couldn't help Vic. She was a little disappointed, but Dom's quite good at bouncing back, she was back playing with her blocks quickly enough. She's been spending loads of time with her blocks though, I keep telling Bill we may have an architect on our hands.
Our Louis is standing now, not for long, but he's getting himself up on his own. Dominique keeps trying to 'help' which is probably why he's managing. It's rather sweet actually, though I think she's annoying her little brother.
I suppose I should not go on about them, but it's surprising how quickly they all change.

Things in England are a lot more worse than I imagined. I was on my way to meet Bill for drinks when, well, it was not pleasant. Thankfully he is well, and the Healers say my injuries will heal soon enough.
Gingotts is not doing so well, I fear. Not because of the money, though I can see how that would trouble people, but the Ministry management style is quite different to what we are used to working. Thankfully, not many staff were injured as it was quite late in the day. To those who were, I do hope the news is good and you will mend well, and to others my deepest condolances?condolences.

I am not liking these Goblin and Ministry issues. It makes Gringotts so very difficult to work in. There is so very much tension here, but I do like it otherwise. The weekend was lovely, there were loads of people here, many students. I imagine they're mostly students getting ready for school, it is starting soon, no?
It feels like it's been ages since I was last at Beauxbatons.
