But if the King - a man of absolute power and influence, a man who - on a mere whim - could change the course of succession, if he could be corrupted...well, people would certainly rethink the system, wouldn't they? And what an awful shame that would be. One pull on the right thread and the whole tapestry will fall to ruin. If someone does have control over the man, then they surely know this.

Orion has been acting a little strangely lately, it's true. And what Kingdom wants a mad King? If people were to lose faith and start questioning the current regime - truly questioning it - it would provide a suitable foundation for a ~~revolution~~ diplomatic discussion.
